3Peat's predictions for round 1 (2020 playoffs)!

Western Conference
#1 Lakers vs #8 Blazers = I have Lakers winning 4-2
#4 Rockets vs #5 Thunder = I have Rockets winning 4-2

#2 Clippers vs #7 Mavericks = I have Clippers winning 4-2
#3 Nuggets vs #6 Jazz = I have Nuggets winning 4-3

Eastern Conference
#1 Bucks vs #8 Magic = I have Bucks winning 4-0
#4 Pacers vs #5 Heat = I have Pacers winning 4-3

#2 Raptors vs #7 Nets = I have Raptors winning 4-1
#3 Celtics vs #6 Sixers = I have Celtics winning 4-2

I don't see any lower seeds winning in round 1, there is usually at least one that does but I don't see it here. All series should be competitive with the exception of the Bucks/Magic series. I have Bucks in a sweep here. Raptors should beat the Nets in 5 as well. The West is going to be entertaining in round 1 that is for sure.

Regarding the Lakers, they will prevail in 6 over the Blazers IMO, it will be in 5 if they win the 1st 2 games. Lillard is a scary player and is a Laker killer but we just have too much for them with LeBron, AD, and Kuz. If they beat us more than 2 games I will be surprised.

Trying to predict how these teams are going to perform under these strange circumstances and homecourt-advantage-less playing conditions is tough. I'm really quite nervous about us, seeing how everybody keeps picking us to at least make it to the Finals. The cool part is that there's playoff basketball all day long - of course they put the marquee matchups on last so the typical 9-to-5 workers can catch the game. Me, I'll be able to watch the first half and part of the second so I hope by then the Lakers have a healthy lead.

It's Winning Time!!!

Every team that I picked in round 1 to win the series won yesterday. Today is starting off a bit stunning. I hope the Lakers are paying attention to how the Magic just manhandled the Bucks, Shocking. I thought the Bucks would sweep this series. Getting Game 1 is huge, Magic may be able to take this 6 at least now.

The Cinderella Magic :roflmao:

What is going on Brethren? Lakers lose 100-93, down 1-0.

Clippers got smacked tonight, Mavs even series 1-1. Lakers will win tomorrow, I guarantee it. No way LeBron goes down 0-2.

The only doubt I have about us winning it all is Vogel. I know a lot about him living in Indy. He is a good Coach but isn't great IMO. Indy should've won the Championship in 2014 after taking Miami 7 games in the ECFianls in 2013. He lost the team around March of 2014 that season and the Pacers weren't the same. Miami beat them again in the 2014 ECFinals but that was Indy's year. Indy had HCA and still failed. Reason why Indy had HCA was because up until March they dominated, then something went sour. I remember a few in here telling me I was being too harsh on Vogel when he was with the Pacers, now you guys are seeing why. Nothing is easy with him. Pacers had the players to get it done too. PG isn't LeBron but is a Superstar and held his own, David West tore Miami a new ass, even Roy played well that year for the most part. Lance was good too. My point is Vogel had a loaded team then and failed so yes I am worried after watching Game 1 vs an 8 seed.

Lakers by 8 after the 1st. We look good tonight. We have to win tonight and win Game 3. We do that we are fine. Problem with losing Game 1, you have to win the next 2 games to be in good shape. So far so good.

66-41 now, KCP from deep. Our defense is menacing tonight like a snake hunting its prey.

All Lakers tonight. 88-58 after the 3rd. I was hoping we would win this in 5 but I predicted 6. I am ok being at 1-1 especially after this monster thrashing! LeBron never loses in Round 1 so if we get it to 2-1 it will definitely be over.

SMASHED on 'em tonight!!! *Whew* I was really concerned that we wouldn't be able to muster the energy to handle this feisty Blazers team, but I also know that every team has its good and bad games and it looked like Portland just came out flat, probably over-hyped from their game one victory. No letting up on the gas pedal now, we gotta put the kids to bed because there are more talented teams out there that are hungry for a shot at the crown.

This might sound harsh but no way are we losing to these clowns in a 7 game series. Lillard is a great player but the rest of that team is inconsistent. We just played lazy in Game 1 and still barely lost. If we win Game 3, we might even take it in 5. Clippers and Bucks, maybe the Celtics have me a little worried. Rockets will worry me if Westbrook comes back.

Early returns have Milwaukee catching Miami and Toronto facing Boston.

Out West, if we can get by Portland we'll face Utah, while the other LA team :toiletclaw: will catch Houston.

Toronto and Boston have made it clear they are advancing, while Houston, Miami, the Clips and Utah are trying to take decisive series leads.

The two #1 seeds, Milwaukee and the Lakers, have yet to show their clear dominance over their #8 seed opponents.

It's nail-biting time . . . :imok: :panic: :nervousalot:

Well . . we looked like the Stooges most of the first half but I had faith that the Blaisers would eventually soften up. A lot of dumb plays on our side that had me wanting to throw things at whoever was in my vicinity, but MOTHERFUCKING ANTHONY DAVIS down the stretch was SOOOOO SMOOOTH and the eventual difference. LeBron is our Magic Kobe, but Kuz and KCP and Caruso showed up late to help secure the win.

Kuz did a little. Might have to write a Haikuzma.
