(fiction) - Kareem commented and was fine with that too. Both teams were probably exhausted after 6 grueling games. I guess this is my way in saying unity matters between the 1987 Lakers and 1996 Bulls black and white players/coaches, I think the 2 teams are even in reality anyway. I will always say the 1987 Lakers had the best ever team but I am a Lakers fan, Bulls fans would say the 1996 Bulls are the best ever so I get it. One thing is for sure, these are the 2 best teams I have ever seen and I loved the 2001 Lakers with Kobe and Shaq but they weren't as deep as the 1987 Lakers. Jordan was slightly better than Kobe as well as bad as I hate to admit. Shaq would have trouble against the 1996 Bulls too because Phil would throw 3 scrub Centers at him and just foul him . Rodman would probably even guard him at times. The 2017 Warriors weren't physical enough to beat the teams I just mentioned either. The 1986 Celtics were physical enough but athletically would have trouble against the 1987 Lakers as proven sort of during the 80's overall and the 1996 Bulls had killer Defense. In 1986 when the Bulls were babies, Jordan put 63 on the 1986 Celtics in a playoff game at Boston. Fundamentally the 1986 Celtics may be the best team I have ever seen but did lack athleticism, the 1996 Bulls had 3 players alone that were more athletic than anyone the 1986 Celtics had = Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman.
Anyway sorry for the cop out for a Game 7 but just my takes. I am glad I could carry this to June 7th because the real NBA Finals should be going right now. Stay safe everyone and stay healthy. Goodnight from the Lakers radio network - (fiction, it would be cool to be a part of the Lakers) lol as our 1987 Lakers are partial greatest team World Champs with the 1996 Bulls. Drink Champagne together everyone. Both locker rooms are happy, message well sent.

Here is my final re-cap of what teams I had in the Final 8 as the 8 best teams since 1977 merger:
#1 1987 Lakers = 1987 Lakers win 4-2
#8 2013 Heat - they deserve to be here, LeBron is a top 5 player of all-time.
#4 2001 Lakers = 2001 Lakers win 4-3
#5 2017 Warriors
-I think Kobe and Shaq could take down that Warriors team, even if the Warriors hit a lot of 3's in some games which they would the 2001 Lakers could keep up with Horry and Fisher matching some of those. I honestly think in a series like that, the Warriors would have no answer for Shaq and Kobe would take Klay out of the equation. Horry would probably guard Durant quite a bit because of his HT and length. I think the Lakers would let Curry get his and just have Kobe shut down Klay. Durant is going to score regardless but just can't let him get off too much.
#3 1986 Celtics = 1986 Celtics win 4-3
#6 1983 Sixers
#2 1996 Bulls = 1996 Bulls win 4-2
#7 1989 Pistons
Conference Finals:
#1 1987 Lakers = 1987 Lakers win 4-3
#4 2001 Lakers
-I just feel like the 1987 Lakers were a deeper team and Kareem could at least deal with Shaq somewhat even though Kareem was older. Magic is a huge difference maker at Point Guard because he is 6'9, Fish wouldn't be able to deal with that well. It would be a hell of a series! I do think Kobe would have a big series.
#2 1996 Bulls = 1996 Bulls win 4-3
#3 1986 Celtics
Finals:
#1 1987 Lakers
#2 1996 Bulls
I chose to end the series at 3-3 and have those 2 teams share the championship to be fair. In all honesty I have no idea who would win and if you run computer simulations with these 2 teams playing each other 1000 times it comes out to a 50/50 split. Both teams were loaded, the 1987 Lakers had Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Cooper, Green, M. Thompson. The 1996 Bulls had Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Kerr, Harper and Longley. Longley wasn't on Kareem's level but he wasn't a scrub either. Having Jordan on your team is almost like having 1.5 players on your team. To me both the 1987 Lakers and 1996 Bulls were ultimate champions. The 2 coaches that coached those teams are arguably the 2 best ever as well. I would've loved to see Riley vs Phil in their true primes coaching, what a game of chess that would be
