Ugh . . walk-off Grand Slam. Kersh and Kenley are just not the hurlers they were a few years ago. Oh well.

3Peat I know you aren't bigoted and your upbring in Indiana has no bearing on how you judge or react to people who have different backgrounds than you, but please check these fools every chance you get.

My post turned the word r-a-c-i-s-t into "basketball" just like the word t-r-u-m-p is changed . . gotta love the censures.

Go Lakers. I'm up late (2am my time) watching a replay of Mike Fiers' no-hitter vs. the Reds.

Yeah whoever it was the Cubs management will ban him from ever coming back to the stadium if it is necessary. I could not get the video to play, I wonder what this person's gesture was? You always have a few idiots in every fanbase. ESPN says it was a gesture, not words said like N word for example.

On a good note, the Cubs won again tonight and still stay in 1st place in the NL Central. Those standings look like this:

Cubs 21-13
Brewers 23-16 (.5 back)
Cards 21-16 (1.5 back)

Cubs beat Brewers today 2-1 with a walkoff HR in the 15th Inning by Wilson Contreras. The Cubs train just keeps rolling and we remain in 1st place by a game in the tough NL Central over the Brewers. Cubs are now 23-14, BrewCrew drop to 24-17.

Yankees: Getting hot, caught up to Tampa Bay - with a resurgent Red Sox team coming up quickly behind them.

Cubs: Holding a slim division lead over the talented Brewers, with the Bucs suddenly making noise. The Cards really fell out, huh?

Dodgers: Winning at a brisk pace with our big bats, but losing games in silly ways - in big need of bullpen help. The rest of the NL West seems to be stuck in mediocrity.

It's still waaay too early to get excited about any lead, hot streak or minor slump, but getting in a groove and playing smart baseball breeds success throughout the summer. Minnesota and Philly will likely win their divisions, and it looks like Houston is going run away with the AL West.

Cubs beat Brewers again. Cubs are now 24-14, Brewers 24-18 with 4 more games played/4 more losses. Cubs are 2 games ahead in the NL Central as we speak. Cards are at 22-19, 3.5 back. It is only mid May but I love what I am seeing right now after the Cubs started 2-7. Lester, Hamels, Hendricks, and Q are all pitching lights out and Kris Bryant looks like the MVP again as he homered again tonight. Bryant was playing injured last season + missed a bunch of games and that really hurt the team, he is the engine that makes the Cubs run on offense.

A lot of Baseball left but we are halfway through May now and the Astros and Cubs have the 2 best records in Baseball. That is the 2 teams I picked to go to the WS before the season started. Dodgers are % points behind the Cubs.
