Mark Cuban is a genius. I will leave it at that.

Kristaps AND Doncic on the same team should be fun to watch. Effin' Knicks -- is Phil Jackson even connected anymore?

No, they got rid of him when he brought up trading Porzingis. Uh, guess who was right? They would have gotten a shitload for him.

In 2017, Magic Johnson said the Lakers “needed a leader” and traded D-Lo.

Russell this year:
- Career-high PPG (19.6)
- Career-high AST (6.4)
- Nets in the playoff race
- First All-Star berth

JJ Redick is one of the best shooters I have ever seen. I wanted him as a Laker before he signed with the 76ers. Having a shooter like that is priceless.

Redick is not Laker Material. And by that I don't mean he's not great. I just mean some players ain't cut out for Southern California.

The Pacers have remarkably won their 6th in a row without Victor Oladipo. They are now 38-19 and in the 3rd spot in the East. Head Coach Nate McMillan has stressed defense and rebounding have to be the keys to winning throughout the season now. Myles Turner, Thad Young, and Domontas Sabonis have anchored the defense with stifling defense once teams enter the paint. Turner and Bogdanovic have been the go to guys on offense now as well. Since Dipo's injury, Bogdanovic has been playing at an all-star level averaging 23 points a game and has shot a scorching 45% from 3. Turner has averaged nearly 20 points a game. The Pacers just acquired Wes Mathews at the trade deadline. He is averaging 13 points a game and is shooting 37% from 3. He is a wily veteran and a great pickup by Indy who can give the team instant scoring. Mean while players like Collison and Evans will continue to fill the Oladipo void in the backcourt by scoring enough to keep defenses honest.

-This team is the definition of a true team, that is deep with great chemistry and great coaching. The Lakers could learn a thing or 2 by watching how they hustle and play defense and move the ball. They lose their best player and it still doesn't matter.

RW and PG setting each other up for trip-dubs, they make a pretty dynamic duo. RW with his record 10th in a row, and PG just getting buckets from all over the floor. Be interesting to see how far they get in the playoffs.

That will be the Warriors only threat IMO.

No Enes Kanter or Markieff Morris. Nobody wants anything to do with the Lakers. They should just sign Travis Wear, a true stretch 4 who plays his fucking ass off, especially on defense.

With the help of the NBA and journalists like Woj, we remain an embarrassment and I am starting to get sick of it.

"Nobody wants anything to do with the Lakers". I agree and the only way we can change that is hope we snag a Klay Thompson in Free Agency or AD just refuses to play for anyone else this summer and demands a trade to us in the summer. AD will actually be a Free Agent in the summer of 2020 so we can get him then without even trading anyone.

Here is the deal with Klay Thompson, is playing with LeBron, him being a 2nd option again like he was before Durant got there, and his dad playing for the organization enough selling points to land him? Also how much does Klay like Magic, that can be factored in as well. If Klay somewhat idolized Magic growing up, who knows what may happen. Regarding Durant, I think there is basically no chance we can get him. He wants to do his own thing without LeBron from what it looks like and be a #1 option.

Klay is too young to have idolized Magic. That's OUR generation. Klay idolizes his dad and the rest of Showtime like we all do, of course - but he's helped Steph and Draymond become idols themselves (well, IDK about that jackass Draymond :silly3: ), and his Warriors at their peak would likely defeat Showtime in a 7 game series. Kobe and LeBron are more his generation's idols. Joining the Lakers would be no more than an "icing on the cake" move, like LeBron was recently quoted as saying. He'd only come if there was a real opportunity for him to advance his dad's team back to a Finals. No real reason for him to leave his fellow Splash Brother, especially when they're about to get a brand new arena to play in.

"Klay is too young to have idolized Magic"- Of course he didn't watch him growing up live being born in 1990 but I am sure his dad had copies of every Lakers game while Klay was growing up. His dad probably told him every story about Showtime as well. By the time Klay was 10 years old, he probably had watched at least 100 Lakers game that Magic played in I am guessing. "his Warriors at their peak would likely defeat Showtime in a 7 game series"- I do not think they any of the 3 Warriors Title teams could beat the 1987 Lakers, 1996 Bulls, or the 1986 Celtics. Especially if they played by 80's and 90's rules. I have my doubts they could beat the 2001 Lakers who went 15-1 in the Playoffs. Kobe and Shaq were playing unworldly and guys like Horry and Fish were super clutch. I would take Phil Jackson over Steve Kerr anyday as well.
