And who could forget that memorable day in college sports history?? After the game, Lavar had a secret "Apollo vs. Rocky" - style pickup meeting with Michael Jordan on a still-undisclosed court, in which he shredded Jordan for 36 points, 12 rebounds, 10 self-assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals, 2 turtledoves AND A PAAAAARTRIDGE INNNAAA PEAAARR TREEEEE

Just when the schedule becomes favorable, too, not that we capitalized on the first chance.

"The Grizzlies were able to maul the Lakers at the slow, plodding pace they’re comfortable playing at. The Lakers lead the NBA in pace, averaging 104.08 possessions per game. Memphis is on the opposite end of the spectrum, the slowest team in the league at 95.42 possessions per game.

The team is adjusting to life without Lonzo, something Brandon Ingram admitted is “different” for the Lakers as they’ve grown comfortable playing alongside their rookie floor general."

We clearly miss his leadership. That alone is valuable to a team.

Lonzo Ball put up 18p/10r/6a/4s, joining Kobe Bryant as the only Lakers to put up that stat line in the last 20 years.

after the last game against the Kings, Only 3 players have recorded at least 10r/10a/5s in a game before turning 21 years of age.

Chris Paul, John Wall, and now Lonzo.

He's talking about Caruso and Glove II.

Not tanking, but . . kind of? I sense Magic is bleeding this squad out of every assist, trey and board he can in order to wean out the real Lakers from the ones who can be traded. He's a ruthless competitor who loves to win. Lonzo is his protégé (nice accents) and Brandon is his x-factor. I'd like to think that Randle is his Rambis, but we'll see. As fans, we have to believe that greatness and a playoff seed are just around the bend. Lonzo is taking his lumps, toughening up and learning how to be a man (which includes muting out his father) and we have endured quite enough sorrow and stress the past few years to earn some good fortune.

Probably drivel, but if you're laying up with not much to do and like being read to audio-book-style, this is a sumptuous piece of journalism about Lonzo's strengths and weaknesses.

“We know that we’re trying to win games and we know we’ve got to make shots to do that, but we also know we’re developing these young players,” he explained. “So whether he’s making or missing shots, we need him taking the right ones.

“And when he’s open, I want him shooting those with confidence because I have all the belief in him that he’s going to be a very consistent three-point shooter as his career goes on.”

As for Zo’s scoring inside the arc, Walton cited the point guard’s 6-foot-6 frame as an important asset for his eventual improvement therein.

“I think his size will become more of an advantage for him offensively as he learns to finish around the rim at this league,” he said. “He’s got such a good feel for the game that he’ll be able to get to those angles and use his size and his length to really create problems for other teams’ defenses, and especially the way he can see the floor. He’s going to keep defenses honest, and being able to finish down there is going to be big for him as he grows in this league.”

This is truly funny. "Squirrel Fur" and the other jabs show that these new generation youngsters "get it". Lonzo has the respect of the crew and we are in a good position to light up the Western Conference in the seasons to come.
