If I was a 25 year old guard - or forward, or center for that matter - I'd be kind of mesmerized by being on the floor with Kobe. Of course he's not as venomous as he was in his first 15 seasons, but the intimidation (mixed with maybe a little prideful doubt about what he can still do in game situations) is enough to give Kobe the slither-room he needs to get away with fadeaways and drives to the hole against these younger players. His final home games - and his last two weeks of the season - are going to be a teary-eyed salute to one of the most enigmatic and deadly ballers in NBA history.
