You guys know me, I am a man about lists! I have studied the history of the NBA, have had eye test since roughly 1977. Based on stats, PER, offensive and defensive tendencies, clutch play, dominance at true position, leadership, talent, overall wins, championships won, MVP's won, Finals MVP's won, longevity, and era played in I have came up with this by each position. I now also have my new top 10 of all-time overall. ERA played in is key because there were fewer teams in the Wilt/Russell era + teams only had to win 2 series up until 1966 to win a championship. Bill Russell only won 3 championships by having to win 3 series = 1966, 1968, and 1969.

Top 5 greatest pure PG's of all-time
1. Magic Johnson

2. Oscar Robertson

3. Steph Curry

4. Isiah Thomas

5. John Stockton - All-time leader in assists and steals. Doesn't have a championship but we know why lol. He faced Michael Jordan twice in the Finals.
-the tricky thing is, some want to say Steph Curry is a SG but his natural position is PG. He just happens to be a PG that is the best shooter of all-time. Jerry West played PG on the 1972 Lakers Championship team but experts and even people in here look at him as a SG. I have him listed as a SG.

Top 5 greatest pure SG's of all-time
1. Michael Jordan

2. Kobe Bryant

3. Jerry West

4. Dwyane Wade

5. Reggie Miller - I will take Reggie over Clyde Drexler. 3 point shooting was the difference.

Top 5 greatest pure SF's of all-time
1. LeBron James

2. Larry Bird

3. Elgin Baylor

4. Julius Erving 'Doctor'

5. Kevin Durant - I think he has surpassed John Havlicek and is better than Scottie Pippen, JMO.

Top 5 greatest pure PF's of all-time
1. Karl Malone - We all know this is true. He might be a prick in real life but he as a basketball player was #1 at this true position, Duncan was a true Center.

2. Charles Barkley

3. Dirk Nowitzki

4. Giannis Antetokounmpo

5. Kevin McHale - I didn't like the guy but he was better than Kevin Garnett.
-Tim Duncan was a Center, let me repeat, Tim Duncan is a Center at 7'0 tall and 250 pounds. After David Robinson retired in 2003, he played Center a lot. His last 10 years of his career he played Center full-time and won 2 championships in doing so from 2007-2016.

Here are my big fella's, top 5 greatest pure Centers of all-time
1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

2. Wilt Chamberlain

3. Shaq O'Neal

4. Bill Russell

5. Tim Duncan, I mean Duncan by a hair because Hakeem Olajuwon was a bad man!

Top 10 players of all-time
1. Michael Jordan
2. Magic Johnson
3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
4. LeBron James
5. Kobe Bryant
6. Wilt Chamberlain
7. Larry Bird
8. Shaq O'Neal
9. Oscar Robertson
10. Bill Russell - in today's game he would probably be a PF. He was barely 6'10 but was way ahead of his time. Greatest defensive Center of all-time and averaged over 22 Rebounds a game for his career. He could still give you 16 points a game with ease but he was more of a team player, 11 Championships is 11.

Top 10 players in today's game as of May 16th, 2022
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

2. Steph Curry

3. Nikola Jokic

4. Kevin Durant

5. Joel Embiid

6. Luka Doncic - Dude is like Dirk, how Cuban finds these gems is a miracle. That is why Cuban is a great owner!

7. LeBron James - yeah at 7 currently, still great but not top 5 IMO as of today.

8. Jason Tatum

9. Ja Morant - still can't get over how his knee injury was that bad by just being grabbed, but love his game.

10. Jimmy Butler - love his game, he is underrated.

My Top 5 all-time teams still remain = 1 team per same core to clarify
1. 1987 Lakers - Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Coop, AC Green, M. Thompson.

2. 1996 Bulls - Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc, Rodman, Kerr, Phil as coach.

3. 1986 Celtics - Bird, McHale, Parish, Walton, DJ.

4. 2001 Lakers - Shaq, Kobe, Horry, Phil as coach. - different core compared to 1987.

5. 2017 Warriors - Curry, Durant, Klay, D Green.

My Top 5 Coaches of all-time
1. Phil Jackson
2. Red Auerbach
3. Pat Riley
4. Gregg Popovich
5. John Kundla - Remember him with the Minneapolis Lakers and George Mikan at Center!

My Conference Finals picks:
Warriors 4-3 over Mavs in the West

Heat 4-3 over Celtics in the East (I hope anyway, man I am not sure about this pick). Heat have HCA is the only reason why I am picking this.

Send this book to the presses, Bill Simmons doesn't have shit on me :waaaaa: . My first name is Mike, and I have a friend that calls me Mikey Simmons :rofl4:

I just watched Game 7 of the Lakers at Kings in the 2002 West Finals. Man what a fucking game, might be the greatest game of all-time. Kobe looked so exhausted but happy. He and Shaq tore it up! Once we beat them, the 3Peat was guaranteed over the Nets. The Kings were great with Mike Bibby, Chris Webber, Vlade Divac, and Peja. Webber IMO is a top 100 player of all-time. Bibby played like an MVP that series. Kobe and Shaq were just barely too much, thank God. I remember watching that game and I had to keep looking away from the TV because I was so nervous. I couldn't eat until it was over :roflmao:. If Robert Horry doesn't make that 3 to win Game 4 we would've been toast. That tied the series at 2-2, being down 3-1 without HCA would've been real bad. Horry was a valuable #3.

As long as the Celtics lose I will be fine with whoever else wins it. Heat lead 2-1 in their series so far and have HCA. Go Heat.

I will never forget when Coop slammed it home in the clinching Game 5 vs Denver in 1985. I watched it on my small 13 inch TV. I stayed up late and was proud of my greatest team ever. When Denver beat us in Game 2, kids gave me hell, I was in 8th grade. I was just laughing. CooooooooooooooooP.

Very good Boston, :kingclaphands: . Now lets see you beat a real team. "lol4: . The Celtics are becoming a nuisance but they are about to meet their match now. There is no way in hell they beat the Warriors as long as Steph, Klay, Draymond, and my man Andrew Wiggins stay healthy. Remember when I said Andrew Wiggins would be a great player years ago, he has proven me right this year. I would stick him on Tatum, put Klay on Brown so Klay can be somewhat fresh on the offensive end, and lets see how good Smart really is chasing around Steph. Draymond will take care of Horford.

Warriors in 5! If it goes past 5 it is because of money and ratings.

Last night was a fluke, Boston shot 21-41 from 3, Old Man Al was 6-8 :roflmao: . Boston did great and got Game 1 which will make this series a pain in the ass but I still have the Warriors in 7. People can say Tatum had a bad game but hell when the guys around you shoot 20-36 from 3 it doesn't matter, Tatum was 1-5. Originally I thought the Warriors could beat Boston in 5 or 6. Boston is a little better than I thought. I am ready to move Steph Curry into my top 10 but he needs to win this series and win Finals MVP. At least put him 10b along with Russell. Hard to have a top 10 all-time list and not have Russell in the top 10 - you look a dumb ass in doing so. He won 11 Championships in 13 years eventhough up until 1966 a team only had to win 2 series to do so. Curry has changed the game and played great last night but where was Klay?? Draymond needs to be old Draymond as well, get nasty and stay hungry.

My speech to the Warriors team is this: Do you want your core team = (Curry, Klay, Draymond) to be a legit dynasty and be mentioned in the same breath as the 80's Lakers who won 5 with Magic, Kareem, and Coop? Mentioned with Jordan, Pippen, and Phil coaching with the 90's Bulls? Mentioned with the 3Peat Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Horry, and Phil coaching from 2000-2002? Kerr needs to tell this team to step their fucking game up and Steph needs to show why he is top 10 worthy of all-time! Klay needs to play like he is a top 75 player of all-time, he complained about not being on that list, so show me why you belong.

Great job by the Warriors last night, Draymond is a bad ass and Curry is on his way to that elusive Finals MVP.

Here is an overwhelming stat, since the Warriors won their 1st Championship with Curry, Klay, and Draymond with Kerr coaching, when up 2-1 or more in any series they have won 95% of the time (2015-2019/2022). Only loss was to the Cavs in the 2016 Finals. The Cavs had LeBron in his prime and Kyrie Irving at his best. Also Draymond got suspended and did not play in Game 5 which allowed the Cavs to get back in that series. If the Warriors win Game 3, Boston is toast. Stats are stats, but 95% is eye popping!

Ok last night was a shit show. Boston now up 2-1. I am still not worried, last night wasn't good but the Warriors will win Friday night. Ratings are a funny thing because there is no way in hell this Celtics roster is better than the Warriors roster. The Celtics are younger and a tad more athletic but the Warriors have the best player in this series = Steph. Warriors have the experience as well and the better coach. After Friday it will be a new series. Draymond usually doesn't have 2 bad games in a row. Klay actually looked good last nght. We will see.

People in the media are just burying Draymond, be careful what you wish for by poking the Big Bear. Perkins talking all kinds of shit, ok we will see come tomorrow night :roflmao:
