Thunder at Lakers 11-4-21

OKC (1-6) @ LAL (5-3) 7:30pm Pacific Standard Time

The Lakers will be without LeBron James for "at least one week", sources have told ESPN. An abdominal muscle strain, suffered in the Lakers' 119-117 victory over the Rockets on Tuesday, is the reason. In addition, both Anthony Davis (knee) and Dwight Howard (neck) are listed as "day-to-day" but should be available. SG Wayne Ellington (hamstring) has been upgraded to "probable", and SG Talen Horton-Tucker is still mending from thumb surgery but was cleared to shoot around on Tuesday. G Kendrick Nunn (ankle) is still being evaluated for a bone bruise and could return soon, while SF Trevor Ariza (ankle surgery) is still out for at least another month.

The Thunder are not a formidable team, but with all the injuries the Lakers are suffering early on this season, a win is by no means guaranteed.

Beat me too it Rev. I was just logging in to post the game thread. Yep LeBron is out and this win isn't guaranteed but is a game we should win.

Regarding teams playing great right now, the Warriors are going to be a bitch to beat all year regarding our division. Stephen A Smith picks them winning it all. They are great without Klay Thompson.

LOS ANGELES -- If the Lakers had managed to protect two massive leads against the Oklahoma City Thunder -- up 26 on the road last week and up 19 at Staples Center on Thursday night -- they would be sitting pretty with a 7-2 record and OKC would be winless at 0-8.

Alas, that isn't the case. The Thunder outscored the Lakers 35-24 in the fourth quarter and won 107-104 Thursday for their second come-from-behind win against L.A., leaving the new-look Lakers, once again, scratching their collective heads about what happened.

AD, Melo and Russ all echoed the same thing - even non-playoff teams are going to play the Lakers like it's their world championship, and if our defense doesn't step up then it's going to result in career nights for a lot of no-names. Pray for us :snapout: :boozbuds:

Yeah blowing these leads are mind boggling but it is a long season we will figure it out.
