Former legend Mark Eaton passed away today. He still holds the single season record with 5.6 blocks per game in the 1985 season. He was also an All-Star in 1989. He was loved in Utah as much as Stockton and Malone are, I have read many stories that his popularity was through the roof in Utah. RIP big fella.

"Police said Eaton was found lying in the road around 8:30 p.m. Friday after apparently crashing his bike in Summit County, Utah. According to the team, the Summit County Sheriff's Office said that Eaton was taken to a hospital, where he later died, and that there was no reason to believe a vehicle was involved in the accident."

Damn - on a bicycle? Not a motorcycle, a bicycle. There will no doubt be some kind of tribute during the game tonight and probably for the rest of Utah's playoff run.

He's blocking shots up in Heaven now :weakout:

Yeah very strange, nobody knows yet what was cause of death. It could be a number of things, he may have had a heart attack or something is to why he crashed his bike?? He may have hit his head wrong when he crashed. Very sad, it feels strange when you look at some of these giants and then here they have passed away because you think they are invincible. When Wilt Passed away, that blew my mind. I pictured him living to be 100, I really did. :weakout:
