2021 NBA Playoff Thread

If it is ok with Kenny and Rev, we all can post here about all the games and Lakers playoff games. Unless Ken wants to do a Game Thread for each Lakers playoff game. I am good either way but this would make it simple. After tomorrow nights games, I will list the seeding's for each conference and who is playing who. I do want to thank Ken for posting Game Threads all season with an assist from Rev creating an alternative thread for posting about Lakers games. Should be a fun playoffs fella's, will we Repeat? We will see.

Oh shit! I forgot to post the Game Thread today! No excuse. My head was up my ass. IO baited my ex-girlfriend into breaking up with me yesterday, so I had the post break up blues today. Watched the game at a friend's house and then the HOF ceremony and speeches though. 3Peat, I will try to remember to post the Game Threads before each game. If I don't we'll use this thread. Yeah I wasn't sure how you wanted to do it, we can use your Game Threads for Lakers games and use this thread for all other playoff games and Lakers games if needed. Sounds great Brethren. I like what I seen today, LeBron looked pretty healthy and rested, AD looks healthy too. In order to Repeat, we need players like Kuzma and Drummond to bring their A game most nights. It is going to be a tough road but I give us a 51/49 chance of repeating. In otherwords I give us a 51% chance which is better than 50/50 . I just believe LeBron has 1 more in him, he won't say it but you guys know he wants to tie Magic and Kobe with 5 rings

-LeBron went down momentarily after a made layup in the 4th Qtr at New Orleans to give everyone a scare but he appeared to be fine. He walked off what looked like a slight turn of his injured ankle. Lakers end the season with 5 straight wins and look healthy. LeBron is fine as he was smiling on the sideline at the end of the game.

-Sidenote, it was cute how the Nuggets and Clippers didn't want to win tonight, it was obvious because both knew there would be a chance they could face the Lakers in the 1st round. A bunch of pussies, they aren't fooling anyone. Clippers sat out their best players and the Nuggets played their starters limited minutes. That alone shows me neither of those teams are a threat . The Jazz do scare me and I figured they would end up the #1 seed, congrats to them as John Stockton and Karl Malone are smiling somewhere.

Pacers over Hornets 112-110
Wizards over Celtics 104-100

Lakers over Warriors 106-105
Spurs over Grizzlies 102-98

All of these games will be close IMO.

I am 1-1 so far in picking games but neither game was close so I was wrong there. 1-1 regardless. The Pacers have struggled all season so I did not see a 27 point win over the Hornets coming. I still had them winning though.

A big snooze for the East Coast . . the trophy resides in KobeLand so they gotta come get it. This is going to be a playoff for the ages and I've already readied myself for our dysfunctional squad not making it all the way BUT -- not one team is built like ours from top to bottom, and if we can stay healthy and develop that killer mentality (Mamba), we will not only get through the western minefield but BLOW TEAMS OUT on our way to the Finals.

Only threat in the West is Utah IMO. Mitchell is a great player, a SuperStar. It is not only that Utah has perfect chemistry, Mitchell has the perfect team around him that know their role. Clarkson is probably 6th man of the year, yes freakin Jordan Clarkson. Utah also has a rim protector, so yes they scare me. In the East, the Nets obviously with Durant, Harden, and Irving. They even added Blake Griffin a while ago which is funny but he can still ball at times.

Grizzlies take out Warriors in OT, wow! Steph will be at home for the playoffs. The playoffs are set as in the East the Wizards clobbered the Pacers last night to capture the 8th seed.

As fierce as the Warriors played on Wednesday, they turned up their buttholes to the Grizz. Not enough left in the tank I guess, and Memphis had all the energy. Still made it close at the end. Poor Warriors fans I kinda don't even feel sorry for them in the least

Clippers . If I was a fan of that team I would just give up . They still should win this series but losing Game 1 is bad when you are facing a player like Luka, he is a basketball killer.

They are nowhere near being built for the playoffs. Portland is their speed. I chuckle when I watch how their smallish squad tries to fend against real versatile teams. I predict PG will retire and open up a nail salon around August.
