I have secured a ticket and will pay my respects to Kobe and GiGi at Staples Center on February 24th, as difficult as it is for me emotionally right now. Closure is important, however painful the price you pay to get that closure. I'm sure it will be televised, so this is just a reminder to everyone to either tune in or record it. This is all still just too surreal for me.

Yeah I can't quit thinking about his passing either. I was at work the other night and youtube'd his final game and when he said Mamba out I balled like a baby. Glad nobody seen me but I cried bigtime. I still can't believe he's gone.

Unbelievable, and just the biggest, most shocking loss the Laker Family could ever have. But we close ranks and get through these sad events together, and a world full of Kobe fans respect how hard it is on us as we mourn the tragic, untimely passing of the Black Mamba.

Thanks, Kobe.

I told myself I wasn't going to watch this, I did just now though. Man I quit crying. Vanessa is a strong woman and spoke about Kobe and Gigi so perfectly. Jordan and Shaq just had me in tears. Shaq tried to bring humor into it, he did but you could still see the pain in Shaq's eyes. I was starting to get over this a little but now I feel like Kobe just passed away again. Truthfully I doubt I ever get over this with 100% certainty. I will probably always think about Kobe's passing from time to time. RIP Mamba!

I was privileged to be at yet another Kobe event, but as Jimmy Kimmel said, there wasn't much good to take out of it other than the gratitude he talked about. It was a cryfest in there, everywhere you looked. Lots of emotions were flying. It was raw and palpable. The tragedy of it all is so overwhelming that what was supposed to bring closure, just drudged up more emotions for me later in the day when I saw my therapist.
