Don't underestimate the presence of Magic Johnson. Kawhi and his family want to meet with him. I am sure they are doing that. I can see Magic saying - you come here, and you play with LeBron and AD you win 2 more championships easily and you and AD will be the face of the greatest franchise ever for the next 7 years. Magic did the right thing, he bailed out so Pelinka and Jeanie will get the credit for this if Kawhi comes. Magic is just old and hates stress. He is like me :waaaaa:

Russell to the Warriors thank God. I did not want him back. Many know why. Bad locker room presence.

Yesterday was exhausting. It used to be that everyone waited on the big free agents to sign, but not this time around. I think it's real 50-50 that we get him, or should I say 33 1/3- 33 1/3 - 33 1/3. Remember, as much as I can't stand the way he seems to be anti-Lakers, Woj said it was between the Raptors and Clippers before all this started and Jerry West remains confident that the Clippers will get him.

Meanwhile, Danny Green is waiting to see what happens with Kawhi. I suspect that Masai Ujiri is even more confident than the Lakers brass and Clippers that he can convince Kawhi to stay, meaning that Danny Green would stay. If Kawhi goes to the Lakers, watch Danny Green sign with the Mavs or Clippers for some ridiculous money. If Kawhi goes to the Clippers, watch the Lakers sign Green to a ridiculous contract.

When the dust settles and we don't get Kawhi, we still have LeBron, AD and Kuz. There are still plenty of quality free agents out there, including the aforementioned Danny Green. Well, not plenty, but between who is left and the buy out guys and guys who can get traded into the cap space, the Lakers will be formidable next season. The Vegas odds still favor us, not that that means anything. I suppose the good news is that no one has tendered an offer sheet to Alex Caruso yet!

In the words of the late, great, beloved Chick Hearn: "It's nervous time!"

I would bet money on that we either get Kawhi or Danny Green. Beverley re-signed with the Clippers. I would be happy with Green and Joseph for now.

-I used to love it when Chick would say "It nervous time, Magic has it and he has Kareem down low we have options" :roflmao:

Joseph signed a ridiculous 3 year deal with the Queens ($37M).

We signed Troy Daniels for the minimum. Fringe rotation player who we know can shoot lights out. Not much of a difference between him and Seth Curry, who signed for $8M per with the Mavs.

Andre Iguodala is being discussed in trade rumors, with the repetetive tag-line "sources say the Lakers" . . he's an extremely tough, smart and likeable guy and I'd welcome him in a second if the price was right, but I think he'd cost too much. Thoughts?

I would be real happy if we added Iggy, Green, and Korver at this point. Kawhi Leonard keeps screwing around. It is time for him to shit or get off the pot. Free Agency started Sunday :roflmao:

Jerry West was ALWAYS my biggest concern. The motherfucker hates the Bus kids' guts. FWIW, at least for the next two seasons, I'd rather have our pair. Of course, THEY AHVE FUCKING LOU WILLIAMS! I knew that would come back to bite us.

We better sign some players tomorrow. Danny Green, Marcus Morris would be a nice coup.
