Very nice win, now 8-6. LeBron ended up with 44/10/10. He looks like he hasn't lost anything. 4 in a row :kingclaphands:

LeBron is now 5th all-time in scoring :kingclaphands: Only Kareem, KMalone, Kobe, and Jordan are ahead of him. LeBron will pass Jordan this season on his pace. :kingclaphands:

LeBron came one assist short of a tripdub, Lillard came one rebound short. Except for Lance going all Draymond/Rodman, we looked smoother than a baby's butt!! Ingram looked hungry late and Rondo provided solid ball-handling skills. KCP AND Hart both delivered down the stretch! Fun basketball is winning basketball!

Is that a soccer player? :redcard:

That one play late where he TRIED to defend LBJ and basically still got scored on . . at least his Richie Cunningham white boy fade was on point. Gotta look good while being scored on, hairline better than LeBron's :bart:

You may not be able to take the Castillo out of the Sauce, but sometimes you can take the Sauce out of the Castillo.

Rondo, BROKEN HAND. Out for awhile. Time for Lonzo (and BI) to grow and others to step up!

ESPN Staff Writer

LOS ANGELES -- The Lakers, who entered the game fourth in points per possession in the half court, generated an inordinate number of good looks. JaVale McGee has graduated from garbage collector to pressure release, time and again finding himself on the receiving end of passes from James, Brandon Ingram and others while streaking to the rim when the Trail Blazers' defense converged on the Lakers' perimeter scorers. McGee finished with 20 points on 12 shots from the field -- his third game of 20 or more points this season -- along with a couple of blocks.

Finding Ingram opportunities to flourish has been a challenge for the Lakers in the early season. But on Wednesday, he managed to beat CJ McCollum off the dribble on straight-line drives, and discovered and nailed a couple of pull-up jumpers. These weren't the most creative plays nor shots born out of elegant players, but for a young player who has struggled to carve out his own corner of the Lakers' offense, it was a generally effective night with greater impact -- 17 points and four assists, without a turnover.

Though it was hardly a banner defensive performance, as they yielded an unacceptable number of open 3-pointers and allowed Portland a true shooting percentage of better than 70 percent in the first quarter, the Lakers continue to gradually better their fortunes on that end of the floor. They're confronting dribble-penetration with greater awareness, and applying better defensive pressure at the point of attack on pick-and-rolls. That allowed them to play the gaps in the Trail Blazers' half court -- the Lakers racked up 11 steals on the night.

The Lakers probably will be favored in their next five games, an auspicious opportunity to solidify themselves in the ranks of the Western Conference. They're reading the floor with greater proficiency, learning to play off LeBron's instincts, and tightening loose screws in what was a porous defense not so long ago.

Luke apparently did a fantastic job with his rotations last night. It showed on the court and in the box score. Check out the +/- numbers:

My sister and I were laughing at how, when LeBron was bent over on the sideline nursing his "injury" during a timeout, Brian Shaw and Luke Walton were totally ignoring him and drawing up plans for everybody else on the little white board. He did get slapped on the head, but he seemed not to need any concussion protocols or wheelchairs :imok:

That's what my eyes saw. Dame has always given Zo fits, but Zo is such a smart defensive player that it was just a matter of time before he started figuring the guy out as much as anyone could. That's some First Team all-defense shit right there! If all Lonzo ever becomes is a combo of Jason Kidd and Dennis Rodman, I'll take that every time.
