Pat Riley did it (after firing Stan Van Gundy) in 2006 and Miami won the Championship. Larry Bird did it in 1998 (after firing Larry Brown) and the Pacers were a hair away from beating the Jordan/Phil Bulls in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

No. BTW, on opening night I passed Stu in the hallway and said hello and he was very pleasant and said "How's it going?" No big deal, but I have always liked him. He'd have been a great coach IMO.

Yeah Magic probably shouldn't. He stunk when he tried it once but he didn't have LeBron either. I like Luke but I thought this was
worth a topic since ESPN was talking about it.

Hell no. But looking at Thibs and a couple other seasoned coaches makes one ponder. My trust is in Luke until he really proves his way is wrong. Way too early to gauge that with this new lineup. He does have to produce though. Maybe too much pressure from Jeannie, Magic, Kobe and Kareem looking over his shoulder. He HAS to succeed.
