Just in case Kenny got busy this will be the Game Thread. If Kenny rescues my poor attempt and delete's this with his own Thread than that will be beautiful :roflmao: . Anyway tonight, the 4-0 Nuggets come to LA to face the 1-3 Lakers. Should be a tough test for the Lakers, the Nuggets are Good and have Great Chemistry. This would be a real solid win if the Lakers can win this one.

From The Salt Lake Tribune describing last night's Jazz win over Houston, picking it up in the third quarter after the Jazz let a huge lead dwindle to five points:

Ricky Rubio got a step on his man and converted a layup at the rim. On Houston’s ensuing possession, Utah played the Harden-Capela two-man set perfectly through every action, forcing a shot-clock violation.

Mitchell and Gobert then ran their own two-man scheme, which culminated in an alley-oop. Then Gobert got his hands in the passing lane for a steal, grabbed an offensive rebound, made it to the free-throw line.

And just like that, the threat was over, and the home fans were streaming for the exits.

“I just wanna win,” said Gobert, whose 12 points and 13 rebounds gave him his 138th double-double — fifth-most in team history. “In those moments when you’re up 10, nine, and there’s two minutes left, you have to make those plays to seal the game. That’s what we were able to do tonight.”

Yes Cliff Paul was cleaning off his spit and Beard came up lame with a hammy, but Donovan "sophomore slump over" Mitchell caught fire and these same Jazz AAAAALMOST beat the Warriors a few days ago, narrowly avoiding victory by allowing a last-second tip-in. So we have our work cut out for us. Now, before the season started this was probably a penciled-in "W" for the purpngold squad, but after the 0-3 dysfunction, we can't feel 100% sure about handling this Jazz team - that we may have to battle for an 8th seed :pissedkobe:

Rev, I have always respected the Jazz. They have had a hell of a franchise since Stock and Malone. They should've won a Championship in 1998 but got screwed by the REFS. They have always been almost unbeatable at home too. Mitchell is unreal and making Jazz fans forget about Malone :roflmao: . Just kidding but the kid is awesome. I am not sure what is going on with the Rockets, maybe it's the Melo StinkCurse "lol4:

Thanks 3Peat. I'm away until Sunday and forgot! Glad we got the W last night, but didn't see the game.

No problem Brethren, I figured maybe you were busy with a case or something with your family was going on. I got you covered with my old school 80's Thread stuff "lol4:. Nuggets are damn good, this would be a good win if we can get it.

1985 WCFinals these guys killed us in Game 2 and had me worried there for a moment tying it at 1-1. Well not really but Doug Moe couldn't match Pat Riley as far as looking sharp with the suit and tie :roflmao:

Fact: The 1985 Lakers shot 54.5% from the field that season, still a record. Todays Warriors can't even match that! The 85 Lakers were the most efficient team of all-time. They also were the 1st team in NBA history to defeat the Celtics on their home floor to capture a Championship! Celtics had never lost in the Finals on their home floor before that. Magic tops Bird and Kareem wins Finals MVP at 38 yrs old.

My dumb ass confused the Nuggets and the Jazz, hence my check-in comments. Both are in the "Mountain" division and will be a test for us in seeking those 6-8 seeds. Can't believe Ingram has zero points, zero rebounds and zero assists so far! :snapout: :waaaaa:
