Clearly, Luke will have his work cut out for him, but he'll have a total blast in the process. He's all about fun and knows how to get through to people. I also love Miles Simon on the staff and B-Shaw is highly respected as well. I'm sure we have the right guy for the job.
This is going to be a blast! I think the Beasley signing was perfect. He will play more than people think. I am guessing that Javale will start both halves and play about 6-7 minutes and perhaps some spot minutes here and there. Beasley will be the small ball center, not LeBron, whose minues Luke will monitor closely. When the dust settles, assuming good HEALTH (caps a TrueFan reference, of course), I think we'll see LeBron and Kuzma on the floor for about 70-72 mpg, with Javale at about 12 mpg and Beasley around 20 mpg (it adds up to more than 96 mpg for the 4-5 position because Kuz will see some time at small forward). Moe will get his share of splinters and G League time; Ivica Zubac just splinters.
Point guard is easy: Lonzo 26-28 mpg; Rondo 20-22 mpg.
The wing positions are where it will be interesting. KCP, Ingram, Hart, Lance and Svi are going to be competing for those 96 minutes. Expect Svi to spend most of the first half of the season on the bench or in the G League. KCP and Ingram should average 30-35 mpg, leaving the rest for Lance and Hart.
We're deep, fellers. Can't wait for September!
