And we all know that ain't gonna happen. As Chick used to say, the chances are Slim to None and Slim just leaft the building!

I agree, Slim is gone :roflmao: Cavs in 6. Do I think Philly could beat the Cavs? I actually do, they would have HCA too. They have Solid Big's and Great Guard play like Indy. Embiid should have a big series if those 2 play and Simmons and Redick are no joke. I am not sold on Toronto's Big's and the Cavs will just put LeBron on Derozan if they have too. I think Philly will make short work of Boston. Jaylen Brown is now out/maybe for the series. I see Philly in 5 and if that's the case they will even get a lot of rest.

Not really sure how Boston keeps winning but it's impressive considering all of their key injuries. That is a testament to Brad Stevens Coaching.

:roflmao: :waaaaa: "lol4: :rofl4:. I still don't think they will beat Philly but what they did tonight was stunning. They will have Kyrie, Hayward, and Brown next season healthy to go with who they have now. That isn't good at all for the rest of the league.

The Cavs acquired Kyle Korver from Atlanta last season for a 2019 first round draft pick. If LeBron leaves, could be a high pick. Who knows. Regardless, why do teams who play in the same conference let the rich get richer so easily? It's somewhat nauseating.

Hey Kenny, Slim says hi to Toronto :waaaaa:. Man I really was hoping the Pacers could knock them off. They had the team to do it actually. I was reading some of the comments on a Cavs Board and they are praising the Pacers for helping them get tougher. Their fans are calling Toronto physically and mentally soft compared to what Indy has. That is rare for Cavs fans to give the Pacers any credit. The Pacers got everyone's attention when it went 7 games. Toronto will be lucky if they don't get swept now :Nutskick:

I was talking with my biological dad today, he is 66 (so he has seen it all) and we were talking about greatest players of all-time because of what LeBron has accomplished. He was telling me his greatest players by decade and he had,
60's: Wilt #1, Russell #2.

70's: Lew Alcindor (Kareem) #1, he couldn't give me a 2nd best because he thinks 3 or 4 different players could be there.

80's: Magic #1, Bird #2.

90's: Jordan #1 and that is all he gave me because he says there is no close #2.

2000's: He has Shaq #1 because he thinks Shaq was the most dominant player since Wilt was. He did put Kobe #2.

2010's - 2018: He puts LeBron #1 clear cut.

-The discussion at that point became where does LeBron rank? My Pops list is this:
1. Wilt, yes Wilt #1
2. Jordan
3. Shaq, He has Shaq 3rd. Many will disagree with this but he just thinks he is the closest thing to Wilt we will ever see.
4. Magic
5. LeBron - He doesn't even like LeBron but thinks he deserves to be in the Top 5.

-His list is really interesting. He likes Wilt and Shaq a lot and think both were better than Kareem because of their power.

His thought process is interesting. He is saying that: 1) You CANNOT compare eras and 2) Domination is the #1 factor in determining greatness. This makes sense to me.

Yeah I have never really had this conversation with him before. I have always known that he thought Wilt was better than Kareem because we used to argue about it when I was a kid. We have talked Basketball in the past but not about lists of Top 5's, etc.. I was on the phone with him for about 45 minutes today and what started the convo was LeBron :roflmao:. He then basically was telling me by decade who the best players were that he has seen live. Something Tate would appreciate. I then ask him to list his Top 5 ever in order. He loves power players and guys that can dominate their position. He thinks Wilt could've played in any era and dominated so he put him #1. He was 50/50 on Magic/LeBron who should be 4 and 5 but he doesn't think there has been any PG close to Magic not even Oscar. His 6'9 size just cant be matched at that position for what he could do is his opinion. He loves Michael Jordan and was on his bandwagon during the 90's but to my Pops defense I think Jordan should be #1. When it comes to LeBron, he just thinks LeBron can do it all and he's built like a train. Pops was using all kinds of hilarious words today. When it came to Shaq, he doesn't think Kareem would stand a chance of guarding him in the paint. He was telling me how older Wilt got the better of him at times and even blocked his Skyhook! FWIW he thinks Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan as far as SG's but he thinks Jordan was quite a bit better. I just wanted to share opinions from a guy who is about to be 67 and seen a lot of era's live.

Football takes 11. Baseball takes 9. Basketball only takes 5, so ONE player can be so dominant on a team that he (or she) can bring more than their 20% -- sometimes approaching 40-50% of the overall impact. Every player in anybody's top ten list has been that dude at one or more points in their career -- resulting in championship if the mix was right. LeBron is high on that list, even though he has lost 5 Finals.

Kobe will never get his proper respect.

I give Kobe his respect but you are right many don't. I was shocked Bill Simmons has Kobe rated 8th best ever, he hates Kobe. Everyone has a different opinion on how their Top 10 is. I still think Kareem is the best Center ever but my Pop thinks Wilt and Shaq were better. A lot of people don't factor in Championships as much as others do. I have a friend of mine thinks people are nuts that think Tim Duncan was better than Karl Malone. Duncan has 5 Rings, Malone 0 but he says Malone was the superior player. Just depends on how much weight one puts on Stats, Championships, domination at their position? Russell won 11 Championships, Wilt 2 but anyone with a half a brain knows Wilt was better :roflmao:

I you measured it strictly by skills and will, Kobe and Jordan are interchangeably 1 and 1a, although Kobe exceeded Jordan's shot repertoire by the time he retired. Imagine Kobe's skills in LeBron's body? Like Allen Iverson recently said, they already forgot about Kobe. He's incredulous how people compare Jordan and LeBron without even mentioning Kobe.

Although I think Jordan was better, it's not by much. I still have Kobe ranked higher than LeBron. Some people think I am nuts but Kobe is very similar to Jordan. Watching their style of play is almost like watching the same player. I loved Kobe's killer instinct, LeBron is too passive in crunch time too much. I also love the fact Kobe played his whole career with 1 team and didn't move around. That was what I always respected about Reggie Miller. He played his whole career in Indy - didn't Ring chase to get on a superteam, etc..
