I am going to guess that the Lakers will politely pass, but IF they at least grant him a workout, I think they should have Bynum and Zubac go at each other one on one in a game up to 50 to test both of their strength and stamina. I'm kidding, but I would love to find out what Luke has said to Magic and Rob about taking a look at his old teammate. He's does look like he's in shape though, although being away from the game for as long as he has been away from it, you can't tell a book by its cover.

I will say this about Andrew Bynum. When most Lakers fans dwelled on bashing him for waiting so long after the 2010 NBA Finals to get his knee surgery, the fact that he played through the same torn meniscus that sidelined Tim Duncan for the 2000 playoffs and literally sacrificed his career in the process is one of the most overlooked things about his toughness, mettle and what kind of a teammate he could be. Now that he is all growed up, let's see if someone takes a chance on him. Prediction: he will sign with the Memphis Grizzlies and back up Marc Gasol.

He gained huge respect from me by playing injured. He wanted to be a part of those Rings in 2009 and 2010! Actually all though you said you were kidding, I would like to see Zubac vs Bynum up to 20 anyway just to see what would happen :slamdunk:

If he can hand out water and towels at timeouts and hype the bench up after monster dunks or deep treys, then I say let's give him a look! :pissedkobe:

Three or four good reads (the one on Hart is kind of long and wordy) in this link - just click on the separate articles in the list.

Great performance from hopefully a future NBA great! I love our mix of old, young, 12345, seasoned, hungry, I.Q., ruthless, wise and respected players. If the right guys get the right minutes, we will be contending for the WCF this year.

I own Showtime and read the book, I will do the same with this one. I will always say the Showtime teams were the best Lakers teams I have seen, best teams ever period from 1985-1988 but the 2000-2002 Lakers were right there. They 3Peated and that is priceless.

Was watching Game 4 of the 1987 2nd round series between the Lakers and Warriors on ESPN, and it's funny how unimpressive our Showtime Lakers looked.
Magic was benched halfway through the first quarter with two fouls and absolutely no points, assists, rebounds, etc. We looked really lethargic and except for some uppity scoring from young Byron and a few Coop threes, you would never guess that we were one of the greatest teams ever assembled.

If I am not mistaken that was the Sleepy Floyd game and we lost. That was our only loss that season during that Playoff run in the West. Yeah we didn't play well at all that game.

It's more the Kobe-Shaq dynamic than the teams they played for that I think will make this book fascinating. Who can forget the constant shit in the media? Can't wait!

Magic needs to show patience with this roster. I don't think Luke is the problem, nor do I think that there is anyone out there who can do any better than Luke with this roster.

BTW, last season when there were similar gripes, the Lakers went on a 9 game winning streak.

I agree, patience is the key. Everywhere LeBron has gone his teams start slow. I am not in panic mode and I like Luke. Lets see where we are at after 30 games.

Significant, important signing IMO.
