Says who? Whatever. I hope this is true. Doesn't mean they can't take a run at PG, the only star who has even remotely expressed an interest in being a Laker. WTF has happened to this organization? First it was nobody allegedly wanting to get near Jim Buss and now it's rumored to be the same thing about Rob Pelinka.

We earned our season(s) to be considered untouchable. Only Leastern teams like the Celtics can be allowed to regenerate for their small-market rah-rah value. Let the suckas revel in their dimwitted glory while Los Angeles waits patiently to become the city of champions again. I have to have faith in Jeannie and Magic, for the simple fact that they made the clean-cut decision to flush Mitch and Jim out of the picture and reboot. Hard decisions get rewarded with measurable results. We now have an enviable core of young, confident talent and a young coach who knows what NBA championships taste like. The NBA needs us, with its corporate fairweather tactics. All of sports fandom wants us, with their feeble, fickle and emotional hearts. Boston fans don't really want to face anybody but us. And the entire sports world will not be healthy until the Lakers return to greatness. It is only a matter of time.

Aaaaand the hammer drops! That Kyrie trade was HUGE for the Celtics, damn. But we are poised perfectly to get a big-name guy now. I still don't want LeBron . . only because he is on the backside of his career and I don't want him to use us as a ring-chaser. Thoughts?

It's simple. We improve short term and long term. Nance and Clarkson were the least important of the young core. I just hope Randle stays. I'm not convinced this is over.

I really liked Clarkson but IT is a borderline SuperStar. We won this trade, the Magic Man is sick of losing. I am excited! We got 1st Round pick out of this too, Cavs got fleeced

3Peat, as you know this is more about creating flexibility for the future than acquiring talent for now, although if IT can regain his form and doesn't disturb the chemistry we have developed, this could be big for the rest of the season! We got two players who space the floor, which is huge for this season, however, giving up Nance (and adding IT) hurts us defensively. Not that it really matters because of his age, but we do acquire IT's Bird rights, too. We got more cap space out of this and a #1 pick, which are the two main assets in this deal. The grades range from Cavs with a C- or D and the Lakers with an A.
