The Lakers Discussion Thread

I agree Ingram is a solid keep. Kuzma, Hart and Zubac as well, but again are these Lakers for the next 4-5 years, or trade chips for the younger vets (the other Paul Georges) who want to play with LeBron and know how to ball in the playoffs? Our youngsters don't even know how to hold onto 2nd half leads vs. sub-.500 teams in early reg. seas games.

Don't get me a wrong I think Ingram is a good player but I just think Kuzma is better. Kuzma has been a good player from day 1 as a rookie. I am just saying if I had too trade one, it would be Ingram out of the 2.

In the end I would prefer just keeping everyone and signing either Durant or Klay this summer because one of them are leaving GS after the season. You put either one with the team we have now we should be real tough to beat. Problem is can we stay healthy for long stretches at a time? I still see us as at least an 8th Seed this season. I think we will get in the Playoffs and the Clippers will miss. Assuming LeBron gets and stays healthy. I am not sure we are good enough to pass the other 7 teams ahead of us.

Lonzo Ball is the second best player on the Lakers. Make no mistake about the fact that he affects the game at both ends of the floor second only to LeBron. Having him out right now sucks. We are at grave risk of losing to the Suns tonight with Bron, Zo and and injured Kuz and Hart. As far as Brandon Ingram is concerned, my problem with him is his lack of chemistry with any of the other players on the team. I just don't see it and I think he would thrive elsewhere, but not here unless we acquired a player who can glue him much like Pau Gasol glued Kobe and LO, who had no chemistry until the Spaniard's arrival. Anyway, so much for LeBron dodging a bullet. No, Zo is not injury prone. He had bad luck.

In what universe is Lonzo Ball better than Kyle Kuzma? I like Ball but he isn't better than Kuzma as of today.

Warriors will 3Peat but if somehow they do not, Paul George and Westbrook will lead the Thunder to a Title. Paul George is playing like 2013 Pacers Paul George, guy is close to LeBron level again. I am happy for him, he was a great Pacer.

I meant this to go into NBA discussion, oh well :waaaaa:

Bullock is actually a decent player. He is averaging 12 points a game this season and shoots 40% from 3 for his career.

Some of the dust will settle by Thursday. The Clippers just gathered a bunch of assets for Tobias Harris from Philly. Watch Logo steal AD from under us.

If the Clippers do it to us again, I will just puke. I do not put nothing past Jerry West though.

Gonna keep forcing the Clippers down Los Angelinos' throats, huh. Thought Staples was the house that Shaq built . . it's pretty suspicious of Jerry to even be involved, but considering he helped the Warriors -- maybe he's been the hidden malevolent force behind our several-season struggle.

Stephen A. on First Take this morning voicing my exact opinion on Lonzo's lack of aggression and attitude. The rest of the crew says Lonzo is as good as gone, the Lakers need to move on from him. Now that daddy Ball is mouthing off again, it's just a shitshow. Luke under fire -- which I think is partially appropriate. LeBron continually painted as a team-killer, which isn't really appropriate -- though he does have the Kobe aura around him.

Good God, what is happening to my Lakers :waaaaa:

Lonzo Ball is our best defender and adapted to LeBron's arrival better than anyone. His "lack of aggression and attitude" is utter bullshit IMO, so I disagree with you and Stephen A.

HAVING SAID THAT, if the AD deal is done he's gone. Duh. He's a future all-star and they know that.

De'Aaron Fox. Jayson Tatum. Donovan Mitchell.

No?

Lonzo Ball. "Adapted to LeBron better than anybody"? 1) That's not a big accomplishment considering our lineup, and not a big-enough sample size. Rondo has meshed better. 2) Everybody has to adapt to LeBron -- they better or else.

We failed in drafting this soggy piece of milktoast.
