Porzingas > D’Angelo

We should had taken Porzingas with our #2 pick 2 years ago :-(

Pope 4-14 from 3? Wow, there's your ballgame.

Fuck.

I agree and although I wanted Okafor which looks like I would've been wrong picking him too, I absolutely hated the Russell pick. We needed a Big as we already had Clarkson who I said back then was better than Russell.

Rev like I was chatting with Ken earlier, we need 1 or 2 more guys that can shoot the 3, otherwise we will lose a lot of these shootout type games. Tough loss tonight as it was a very entertaining game.

The game went overtime? Oh well, It was a hard fought game and some issues cost them the game down the stretch.

We're witnessing a very young team going through necessary growing pains without a superstar. Brandon Ingram had a horrible game. Porzingis was waiting for him every time he went to the rack. The fact that we passed him up has had devastating consequences, but whatever. Luke should have stopped BI from attacking the rim. This was a game we should have won, but with Ingram playing poorly, it gave us little chance. YET we went to OT, so kudos for the effort. We are pointing in the right direction, brethren.

Im good on Porzingis.

Though this regime found it neccesary to trade Dlo...he is putting up 21...6 and 4. Solid numbers for a 3rd year player. He will get better too...
Also we got Ingram because we didnt have a Porzingis. Also we got kept Randle instead of trading him to fit pieces around Porzingis. Maybe kept Byron. who looks like one if the better pick and roll defenders in the game.
And Lonzo. Those losses the last 2 years got us great depth. Not sure we would have had that with Porzingis.
Devastating consequences is so overplayed.
Towns and Booker have been the best players from that draft.
We got Kuzma etc... i like the grpup we have every group except Wolves and i think we fit better than them

Perhaps I overstated that. From my perspective, had we landed Porzingis, the money would not have been wasted on Mozgov. Whether we would have been any better with Porzingis is also debatable, so we still may have been in position for Ingram and Lonzo, not to mention the gem named Kuzma. Also, Randle and Porzingis may have had great chemistry given Porzingis' abilty to stretch the floor. We missed on him and he has MVP potential and I don't think there's any question about that. I would even take him over Towns at this point. You don't have to look any further then Kyle Kuzma and Donovan Mitchell, never mind all the busts and steals of past drafts, to understand that it is a crapshoot and that the best scouts in the world can't even get it right. So yeas, my comment was a bit over the top because there's a shitload of luck involved with it anyway.
