40 years of watching sports, my loves and hates

Postby 3Peatkb24 » Mon Nov 20, 2017 5:25 am

I am 46 years old and have been watching sports for roughly 40 years = since the late 70's, here have been my loves and hates:

Top 5 Hates
5. The Miami Heat years from 2011-2014. Absolutely couldn't stand them. The way they formed a super team and LeBron taking the easy way out to get Rings.

4. The 1990's Bulls. They won so much in the 90's that it took the fun out of watching Basketball. I hated them!

3. The 2008 Celtics. That team was loaded with dirty assholes! Glad we got them back in 2010 and won it all in dramatic fashion to give them a sick feeling after Game 7.

2. The Patriots in the Belichick/Brady era. Absolutely pure yucky! I hate them and I am sick of them. Colts would have at least 2 or 3 more SB wins if it wasn't for them.

1. The 1980's Celtics. Everytime I see Danny Ainge I want to puke! Couldn't stand cry baby Kevin McHale either. Larry I respect but hated him as a player because he was Magic's main rival.

Top 5 Loves
5. Peyton Manning winning his 2nd SB Ring. That is huge from a legacy standpoint. Not a Broncos fan but I love Peyton! Only 11 other starting QB's have won 2 or more SB's. He needed that one to become a multiple Champ as a starter.

4. The 2016 Chicago Cubs! Finally won a WS for the 1st time in 108 years. I cried, chugged Crown, and went outside and yelled that we are the Champions finally! Been a Cubs fan since 1984 and have been laughed at for it. Thank you Kris Bryant and Jake Arrieta.

3. The Kobe Bryant era. Winning 5 Championships from 2000-2010. Kobe/Shaq, Kobe/Pau with Phil. Big Shot Bob ripped the hearts out of the Sacramento Queens in the 2002 WCFinals. Shaq was so dominant and Kobe was the Jordan of the 2000's. 3Peat baby from 2000-2002!

2. The 2006 Indianapolis Colts. Beat Belichick/Brady to get to the SB and then Colts won it all for Indiana by dominating the Bears. Peyton Manning delivers bigtime for little ol Indiana. I love you Bob Sanders!

1. The 1980's Lakers. This is my #1 and it really isn't even close. The 5 Championships we won in the 80's were priceless. It was the best era of Basketball period and the most entertaining Basketball I have ever watched. It was ShowTime! We got the better of the Boston Celtics and became the first team to Repeat in 20 years in 1988. Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Byron, Coop, AC, M.Thompson, Rambo + Riley = best ever.

What are your guys Top 5's?
4 best Titles- 1988 Repeat Lakers/2002 3Peat Lakers/2006 Colts/2016 Cubs
