I did a ton of research and looked up every team since the 1947 merger when African Americans were allowed to finally play and WW2 was over. These are the teams each decade that had the best record that won the World Series:

1950's
1953Yankees 99-52 World Champs

1960's
1961Yankees 109-53 World Champs

1970's
1975Reds 108-54 World Champs/1970Orioles 108-54 World Champs (Tie)

1980's
1986Mets 108-54 World Champs

1990's
1998Yankees 114-48 World Champs

2000-2009
2009Yankees 103-59 World Champs

2010-2017 so far
2016Cubs 103-58 World Champs

Astros just don't cut the mustard at 101-61, Cubs are still the team of the decade with the best record to win it all. :pissedkobe:

I honestly miss Baseball already. I think it's the best sport going by far, so much parity and most Baseball players are very humble. We just had back to back years of two Game 7's in the WS. Anything can happen in that sport. Football you have players kneeling for the Anthem and the Patriots are always in it - sick of it. Basketball = Warriors and Cavs every year, it will be that again, shit gets old. In Baseball the unexpected always happens and the Playoffs are always the best with unreal tension and suspense. In Baseball going into next season there are at least 7 or 8 teams that can win it all = Astros, Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Indians, RedSox, Nationals. Basketball we already know the Finals, Football we all know the Patriots are going to Repeat with Tommy Boy, Peyton is no longer around.

-I have watched less Football this season than ever in my life, not as interested in it as usual. Yeah Luck is out and the Colts suck but I have other reasons as well. I have been catching some of the Colts games off and on and then I usually either go out on Sundays or put a movie on when the other games come on. Never have done that in my whole life. When the Baseball Playoffs were on I was glued to it. I still watch Basketball/Lakers but it's sad that common sense tells us it will be Warriors vs Cavs again :roflmao:

*Just glad my Cubs at least made it back to the NLCS and didn't get swept. I thought they defended their Championship well, just ran out of gas. Jake didn't let us get swept. Most teams that win the WS miss the Playoffs the next season. 2 more years left in the decade and the 2016Cubs are still the best team of the decade record wise to win it all.
