2018 Summer League

Looks like we're all taking quite a bit of a break from posting and what is better to break that monotony than the exciting Summer League!!!

I watched the game and here were my observations:

1) Ingram is confident, looks a bit stronger and we may very well see him take his game up another level.
2) Lonzo pressed and shot poorly, passed well and seemed confident. Too tough to tell from this performance what to expect.
3) Zubac was glued to the ground. He was horrible. That was the only thing to disappoint me because he was talking about being great this summer.
4) Thomas Bryant was easily the most pleasant surprise of the night! Energy at both ends of the court and has three point shooting range already!
5) I have no idea what to make of Kyle Kuzma and josh Hart, but expect a lot of D-League time for both of them this season.

I think they play again tonight. Look for a better game from Zo and Zu. Ingram's left calf cramped up, so don't expect him to play tonight.

Yeah I missed the game last night, had to crash early due to working a long day shift today. I will still Post my daily Baseball fix Posts but there really hasn't been much to Post about. I seen where Lonzo struggled with his 3 point shot but his passing looked good. Ingram's play was very encouraging, love what I seen there watching the highlights. I think he will be a Star in a couple of years.

Lakers lost tonight but Lonzo had a TDB with 11-11-11. 11 Rebounds and 11 Assists pretty impressive. 11 Points ok but he fucked around and got a TDB!

I love that Brian Shaw is back with the team, and working closely with Magic. He seems to have a real loyalty to the Lakers, even though he grew up in Oakland. As for Ball and Kuzma, they looked pretty good. It's relieving to know that things are returning back to "normal" after the last few years, and we as fans should have every right to believe that we will up our win total significantly this season. With Magic, Luke and Brian all focused on execution, the product on the floor will be exciting to watch.

No Lonzo. No BI. No Kuz. No Hart. No problem!

Alex Caruso looks like an actual NBA player. A 23 year old, 6'5" point guard who did everything last night! OK, it's the Summer League, but in one game he may have earned himself a training camp invite and a possible two way contract. Meanwhile, Ivica Zubac looked horrible again, almost as if he has regressed terribly. It looks like he needs to put in a LOT of work between now and training camp. Don't be surprised if we signed another back up center for cheap, maybe even re-sign Tarik Black. Thomas Bryant has definite potential, but he won't be ready for prime time. As for David Nwaba, he looks every bit like he's ready for that Tony Allen role before Tony Allen was a starter.

Some of these passes Lonzo is making are Magic like in this Summer League Game. Lakers lead early 19-15 over Philly.

GOOD LORD! Lonzo - 36 Points on 12-22, 11 Assists, 8 Rebounds, and 5 Steals. Lakers beat Philly 103-102. Very impressive! :kingclaphands:

I watched the whole game. What poise! Man is he going to be special. Maybe Nuggz will post more once he gets excited about Zo.

How cool is that! :xclaphands:

Great stuff! Lonzo is just smooth, I normally could care less about Summer League but I watched because of him and he didn't fail to Impress. He is an exceptional Passer and pretty much has the type of attitude like Magic used to have, being he can take over a game anytime he wants with Passing or driving to the hoop. Nothing phases that kid either, he is always calm and quiet. He and LaVar are nothing a like.

Yeah I think he is going to be the real deal. I have thought along he and Fox were the 2 best players in the Draft. I am just glad Philly took Fultz, Lonzo will be better.

I love the way he can dominate the game with his passing and attacking the basket. And people slept on his defense too!! This boy can play "BALL". (no pun intended)
