I haven't been this excited since we drafted Magic! I am not even joking - he can be that great. I fucking love this kid! His dad doesn't even bother me now, he is just out going.

Lakers won again last night, Lonzo 14/9/7. I love what I am seeing out of Kuzma too. Kuzma looks like he can be a Good Pro.

While I'm aware that this summer league (which I never watch), the Lakers seem to have stabilized the free fall and are now back on the way up. While we still are a couple of years away from being a legitimate threat, the climb back has begun. The Lakers and the Timberwolves will be the teams to beat in the West to start the next decade. Kuzma is the new Robert Horry. By year three this rookie group will be able to build a solid foundation that will turn them into a legitimate contender. Can't believe I've watched every summer league game. They've been fun...even the losses.

I never watch this bull shit either and it is pretty meaningless but Lonzo looks great and it is against better COMP compared to college. We will see. Kuzma is becoming a player I like a lot too.

I'm with you guys. The Summer League is bullshit, but the Lonzo intrigue for me is so great that I haven't missed a game. I absolutely loved his game in college and we're seeing glimpses of how great he will be. He has certain moves and shots that I didn't know were in his repertoire even from watching a bunch of UCLA games. He even flashed a nice mid range shot that everyone is saying is missing from his game. I think he might be the most impactful rookie in a long time, as in we might have a shot at the playoffs. As for the real surprise of this Summer League, I don't know if Kyle Kuzma is the real deal or just a Summer League sensation. If he is for real, I think it might make Julius Randle expendable. Julius is due to get paid next summer at a time when Magic and Rob want two max slots available, so some combination of Deng, Clarkson and/or Randle has to go. With Larry Nance being the type of player that Magic and Rob like (assuming he extends his shooting range), the problem is going to be finding Kuzma minutes although it wouldn't shock me if Ivica Zubac is the one getting the splinters next season, mainly because Luke likes to play a lot of small ball with the second unit. As Mr. Kirby once said: "Enjoy the climb!"

It could be the Kuzma/Caruso show. I really like Kuzma.

Lakers win Summer League Championship, Kuzma 30 Points, 10 Boards, 6-10 from 3. This guy just killed it! Congrats to our team.

Kuzma looks like he is going to be a star, but this IS the Summer League, so who knows. He does everything well. Very exciting stuff. I hope he's in the rotation ahead of Brewer and Deng, but again, looks can be deceiving in the Summer League.
