Worst case scenario

Worst case scenario

We lose the pick... Nick opts out but we can not get a FA
Russell
Clarkson
Ingram
Randle
Zubac

Ennis
Nwaba
Brewer
Deng
Nance

That bench has defensive potential and Deng at the 4 is actually a productive player.
And let's say the two sophomore players have slumps similar to Russell this year...
That's a team that is competitive for 65 games insteAd of the 45 that we were this year.

I personally like all the kids and I think if we can add some shooters around the players up there we can become dangerous sooner thAn 2020.

You left out Mozgov. There's a team option on Tarik Black, too, which I believe the Lakers will exercise under this worst case scenario. As for the bench, where is the scoring going to come from? This would be a bottom 5 team at best, but if we lose the pick, that bodes well for the 2018 draft. Also, you didn't factor in our picks at 28 and 33.
