Usually there is always a lower seed or 2 that pulls an upset off but I don't see it this season folks. Maybe the Jazz over the Clippers? Could be? but I see the Clippers doing their usual fold job in Round 2 this season. Here are my picks:
Round 1 East
Celtics over Bulls 4-3
Cavs over Pacers 4-2
Raptors over Bucks 4-2
Wizards over Hawks 4-2

West
Warriors over Blazers 4-0
Spurs over Grizzlies 4-2
Rockets over Thunder 4-3
Clippers over Jazz 4-3

What a bummer for the Pacers today. Lost 109-108 to the LeBron's. Had a chance to win at the buzzer. PG played LeBron pretty well today and should've just kept the ball at the end but got doubled and found Miles perfectly for a good look to win the game, just didn't go in. The Pacers just don't have the talent the Cavs have. Paul George is a bad dude though regardless, LeBron had 32, George 29 but George hit 6 3's to LeBron's 2 so George held his own. LeBron is playing for a team with loads of talent with a Payroll that is over 34,000,000 over the Cap, George is playing for a team that has underachieved all season.

I don't think the Cavs will be truly challenged until the Eastern Finals. Look out for Washington and the Wall's. Man if I could stick John Wall on the Pacers they could upset the Cavs :roflmao: Cant do that though, only in Fantasy land. I mean LeBron has Irving, so that would only be fair. To me Washington can probably take them 7, they have the Guard play with Wall and Beal + the Big's like Gortat that can do damage. I think they are better than the Celtics and Raptors, Raptors looked like doo doo today against the Bucks today. Bottomline is it will be the Cavs vs Warriors like I have said since the season has started but I do like Washington's Roster. I am not sure how I.Thomas will play now either after his sister's tragedy this morning. She was killed in a car accident (my condolences to him and his family) so not sure what state of mind the C's will be in moving forward?

Yeah that made my whole night :roflmao: Latest word is Gobert only has an hyperextension and a bone bruise. He may be able to come back from that. Rodney Hood had the same exact injury and came back in 12 days. Just depends on the person. Jazz may not get him back for this series but at least now they have a fighting chance with HCA and being 1-0. I love rooting for small market teams that most people give no chance of winning, most people had the Clippers winning this in 5 and not losing a home game. Joe Johnson had other idea's! We all know how the fans are in Utah, I think they are going to be tough to beat in Salt Lake City.

This playoffs would have more implications of it were next off-season when the kids were a bit older and we had a bit more flexibility.

But if this proceeds the breakup of the Clippers them great

Yeah and if Paul George loses to LeBron again and then Bird doesn't get him more help next season, George may just say the hell with it I am going to the Lakers.

Highly unlikely.

George and most players want to play With PEERS.

Ingram and Russell are our stars.
George and players on that level want to play With
LeBron 32
KD 28
Kawhi 26
Greek Freak 23
Wiggins

Ingram 19.

We aren't getting a great player in their prime.

It's just the new NBA.

The only way that happens is if Magic and Pelinka can somehow put together a Heatles situation, but with who? The only rumblings that I have heard along those lines are that Towns, Russell and Booker are extremely tight, so it would require them to agree to become unrestricted free agents at the same time to pull that off, but that would be about 4 years from now. Other than that, would Paul George and Boogie Cousins want to do that in 2018? I seriously doubt it. I agree with your wisdom, Robert.

George is a different kind of cat. I have been his Brian Windhorst to LeBron and have followed him closely throughout his career living in Indy. He idolized Kobe and loved the Lakers when he was younger. He is also from the Cali area. I wouldn't rule it out, him coming to the Lakers. He would be the type of player that might find playing with players like Ingram, Randle, and Russell better than what he has in Indy now because they are super young and George can be their leader.

To be the young leader on a team . . with quality youth around him and the assurance of our FO that a power big will be brought in to complement him? Jeannie, Magic and Rob are going to make some big moves . . this would be a great start. I hope he wants to come.
