They drafted D'Angelo Russell. They were shell shocked, so reaching for Porzinigis would not have set well with the fan base. Taking Russell over Okafor was already radical enough. Remember, Knicks fans weren't pleased either. Yes, they should have grabbed him.

I have to admit I was wrong about this guy. We should've took him, he is Dirk2017! This guy is awesome. I still like Russell and think Okafor can be Good but Porzingis looks scary Good!

Porzingis is an idea. Look at his shooting percentage in December, his advanced stats.

I swear when certain cities get a good player they overrate him.

Look at Curry's draft class for example.
Tyreke was rookie of the year.
Blake Griffin had the incredible season the next season.
Harden had a very good season that 3rd year.
2 seasons ago, Curry jumped into MVP status.

Another example.
Iverson and Marbury vs Nash and Kobe.

I am fine with the Russell pick actually. I think in time he will be good enough to lead our team to big things and more than likely be an All-Star. As of now Porzingis has been better but it's only year 2. Both players are young. There are a lot of people in the media that are even saying they would rather have Porzingis than Towns. So saying he has been better than Russell isn't that big of a deal. Of course I wanted Okafor and he has been better than him as well but Okafor is playing for a dumpster fire in Philly where he has little chance to blossom.

Porzingis is balling in NY with that team. We have less to offer, and either way neither us nor the Knicks was going to be a contender. Knicks fans don't even deserve him, the way they booed on draft day. Nice to see a late(r) draft pick come in on fire, maybe our version (Zubac) can be like him someday.
