If you were asked by your family/friends and the media that covers all sports what is your favorite Championship won by a team in any sport, what would your answer be? I have the Lakers 10 I witnessed, Colts in 2006, Cubs in 2016. Many others are fans of the Dodgers, Raiders, 49ers, Yankees, etc.. You can only choose 1 though.

My answer is the 1985 Lakers when I really think it through. To finally beat the Celtics in the Finals after never having doing it was so fucking huge for the Lakers and Magic beating Bird after losing in 1984 that it was priceless IMO. Not only that, we beat them in the Garden to end the series, no team has ever done that in the Finals. When the Lakers repeated in 1988 that was awesome, so was 3Peating in 2002 with Shaq/Kobe but the one in 1985 reigns supreme in my eyes - Cap won MVP in the Finals as well. The 2006Colts and Cubs winning it all was huge too for me because it rarely happens when they win it all but the 1985 Lakers is my final answer.

My top four are the '88 Dodgers (fueled by the Kirk Gibson HR), the '88 and '10 Lakers and the '80 Raiders. All four title runs/games were full of drama and classic sports moments. Out of these four, the entire year-long adventure from Riley guaranteeing a repeat all the way through three straight grueling and nerve-wracking 7-game series to fulfill the promise stands out as my favorite. It capped almost a decade of historic greatness for a team that many consider the best in NBA history.

Yeah we all had plenty to choose from that is for sure. It was between the 85 and 88 Lakers for me, I chose 85 because we had never beaten Boston in the Finals until that season.
