Sorry for the lack of Posting tonight. My Internet connection has been garbage here at work. I even had to listen to the Baseball game on the radio once I got into work. Anyway before this stops working again congrats to the Lakers tonight! Always nice to win the opener. Looks like Clarkson kicked ass off the bench and Russell played a solid game. 1-0 on the season for young Luke.

Unfortunately I had someone call off where I work at about an hour before game time so I had to go in tonight, wasn't even worried about it because I usually have Internet so I figured I could follow the game but this piece of crap hasn't worked right all night. It is working again for the moment. I had to listen to the last 3 Innings of the baseball game on the radio. Anyway proud of the Lakers tonight, took the Rockets out and put up 120 points in doing so.

So . . . Nick in the SL for quick offense and high energy, and Clarkson off the bench for poise, explosiveness and balance when the opposition is on its heels. Everybody gets to be who they really are. All we're lacking is a next-level center and a defensive stalwart who can lockdown on the other team's top scorer and we are in the mix like a blender!!

I think we have the ability right now to play 30-35 min. of good defense, but it's the other 13-18 min. where .500-or-better teams are going to get their buckets and have their way with our youth, inexperience and lack of cohesion. I guess that's where the offense comes in - crisply rotating to the open man, using most of the shot clock, hitting 3s at a nice rate. Definitely a Warriors-style of defense by superior offense.

A great psych-booster last night, I hadn't rooted that hard for the squad in a while. The crowd was hyped and I think Staples will be just fine without #24.

Mozgov looked fantastic in his Andrew Bogut role last night. No, he's not a transition rim protector, but in the half court set he was everything we could hope for last night. I am excited to see the development of Ivica Zubac over time because he is rim protector #2 on this team. I also think that Luke will figure ways to have Nance and Ingram in position to alter shots with their length and athleticism. Let's hope that Luke keeps our yutes energized for the 48 minute performance that they gave last night all season. Frankly, with respect to Clarkson, Russell and Randle, in particular, and I'm guessing Ingram in a more quiet way, too, it is part of their DNA. The former three have big boners to have the ball in their hands down the stretch, which could be a great thing if Luke can get them to buy into the avoidance of Hero Ball ala Pop.

I slept well last night.

When I got home this morning I watched a lot of highlights. Our ball movement looked crisp, the chemistry looked fantastic from what I could tell. I had a feeling we would win this game going in and I hope this is a sign where we can beat most of the teams that are Mediocre to Bad. I have the Rockets as a .500 team so to me they are an Average team with 1 Great player in Harden but it is a Great win for us because over the last 3 seasons for the most part we have been losing to teams like this.

One thing that needs to be mentioned too is Ronny's Defense, he can still lock anyone down for a few possessions if needed. No wonder why Luke kept him around. The guy is one of the best athlete's I have ever seen!

In a sense, it was a confidence boosting turning point in the game defensively. The Rockets scored only 18 points in the fourth quarter after MWP's 2 minute, 3 foul stint. I think it energized the rest of the team just watching him get in Harden's grill.

Last night was a big win because we begin a 4 game road trip starting at Utah tomorrow, then at OKC, at Indiana, and finish at Atlanta. I am going to the game Tuesday if anyone is wondering. Pacers are Very Good this season but I give us a chance. I look at these 4 games and if we go 2-2 I will be happy with it.

1-3 with some great energy and fight wouldn't even be bad. 2-2 would signal that this team is for real.

I can see wins over Utah and Atlanta, OKC is still going to be a bitch to beat with Westbrook and his Bigs and Indy is loaded with PG and crew. If we beat Indy I will talk all kinds of stuff :roflmao:

Utah is the best team we'll play , maybe Pacers since GH is out.

0-4 is very possible. 1-3 is good for this team. 2-2 would be amazing
