Consider this... A 5th year starter is usually still viewed as a young player.

Think about Bron in 2011, still needed to sharpen his game.

In 2 years Randle, Russell and Ingram will be used to the league.

It takes time no doubt. That is why no Lakers fan should expect more than 30 wins this season. I don't so if they win more than 30 it's gravy. I have us winning 30 but I am more focused on seeing how much Russell progresses this season because he is our leader and #2 pick from 2015. Once Ingram gets this season under his belt, I think he will be Very Good in season 2.

With respect to Russell, in particular, you could see the difference between the stupid Summer League and even a meaningless preseason game where he was playing against real NBA players. I think the preseason will allow him enough time to adjust such that he can still get off to a solid, confident start this season though.

I think by the end of the season he will be on the verge of being Very Good. He needs another year under his belt. You know as well as I do if he struggles this season from some reason the Trolls and Haters will be out in full force. I think he will be better than last season though.

Hopefully Brown keeps it up. I like the Draft pick when he got him. I thought he would be better last season and maybe under Luke he will flourish!

He was a rookie in a bad offense, who played limited minutes and suffered an injury.

He hasn't had any time to show what he can be.

Was Khris Middleton killing it as a rookie?
