3Peat's NBA News and Standings as of going into March 28th. Here's what's up:

Eastern Conference Standings - Playoff teams as of now
1. Raptors 55-20
2. Celtics 51-23
3. The LeBron 44-30
4. Sixers 43-30
5. Pacers 44-31
6. Bullets 41-33
7. Heat 40-35
8. Bucks 39-35
9. Pistons 34-40 outside looking in

Western Conference Standings - Playoff teams as of now
1. Rockets 61-14
2. Warriors 54-20
3. Blazers 46-28
4. Thunder 44-31
5. Pelicans 43-32 (Pelicans have tiebreaker over Spurs)
6. Spurs 43-32
7. Jazz 42-32
8. Wolves 42-33
9. Clippers 40-34 outside looking in

-Lakers news = Lakers are currently 11th in the Western Conference with a 32-41 record. They are on pace to win 36 games which would be 10 more than last seasons 26 wins!

Summarization and fun facts as the Regular Season is coming to an end:
-Rockets look like they will have HCA throughout the whole Playoffs/Finals.
-Raptors look like they will have HCA in the East throughout the Playoffs.
-James Harden appears on his way to his 1st League MVP Award.
-Clippers look like they may miss the Playoffs for the 1st time since 2011. BINGO :roflmao:
-Thunder and Pacers currently have identical records at 44-31 with only 7 games left. Who would've thought that, considering Paul George left the Pacers and joined the Thunder. That is the most shocking fact of the Regular Season!

-Updated as of heading into the morning of March 28th  Goodnight everyone.

I get ask this question a lot now days at work and by my friends, who is the better player PG or Oladipo? It's because of the Pacers success this season. I still say PG is but it's close. I have Dipo in my Top 20 and PG in around 15th. PG has just been better longer and has been the main guy in deep Playoff runs. He also has more size and length than Dipo has. Dipo has been a true joy to watch this season though! He is an amazing talent and player, Pacers got lucky to get him to replace PG as the main man. I really hope the Lakers go all out for PG.

PG is a much more consistent and solid piece than Oladipo. They'd make a great duo. Both are great wingmen in the right lineup, but PG can level-up to a leading-man role with his size, aggressiveness on defense and scoring consistency. With our team, he'd be the non-center Alpha Dog.

Yeah PG to me is close to being a Top 10 player in the league. Dipo is around 15ish-17ish as an estimated call. Dipo is Great/borderline SuperStar but PG is a true SuperStar.

Joel Embiid out for the rest of the Regular Season and maybe the 1st Round of the Playoffs. Orbital Fracture to his left eye, needed surgery to correct it. They have an easy schedule left so will still probably finish 4th or 5th but if the Pacers draw them what a break that would be. He still may play in Round 1 but that is a serious injury that usually takes a month to fully heal. As it stands now in the East between 3-6:
The LeBron 45-30 = 3rd
Philly 44-30 = 4th
Pacers 45-31 = 5th
Bullets 41-34 = 6th
-If the Pacers can stay in the 5th they are good now. LeBron will finish 3rd. Philly has the tiebreaker over the Bullets so they would really have to fold to fall to 6. With the Pacers 106-103 win tonight over the Queens they set an NBA record. They are 11-1 in games decided by 3 points or less, they are 3-0 in OT games as well - those weren't decided by 3 points or less but OT games. In games decided by 3 points or less + OT games that weren't, the Pacers are 14-1 = 93.3% winning%. That is a NBA record with at least 15 games played decided by 3 points or less + OT games that weren't. Oladipo scored 13 of his 24 Points in the 4th Qtr to send the Queens fans home crying :waaaaa:

The battle for 3rd place in the East between the LeBron, Philly, and Pacers is really tight.
The LeBron 47-30 (3rd)
Philly 46-30 (4th)
Pacers 46-31 (5th)
-I hope the Pacers and Philly stay at 4/5. Philly has had an easy schedule and has been whipping up on a bunch of chumps. Without Embiid or an Embiid that wont be 100%, they wont beat the Pacers in a series. Pacers wont beat the LeBron so I hate that matchup. I think the Pacers could take them 6 or 7 though but LeBron doesn't lose in Round 1.

-Pacers thrash Warriors by 20 = 126-106. Not sure how much stock to put into this but Durant, Klay, and Green all played. Curry was out but his replacement Quinn Cook played and he's been tearing the league up as a starter. Cook is averaging 15.5 Points a game over 36 minutes played, shooting 49%, 43% from 3, and 90.5% from the FT Line - he is no scrub. Oladipo and Bogdanovic made them look like dog crap tonight. Pacers are currently 47-32 and will probably finish 5th in the East but could draw the Sixers in Round 1 where Joel Embiid is injured. Embiid may even miss the 1st Round. His injury generally takes a month to heal after surgery, maybe even upto 6 weeks.

-ESPN as a whole picked the Pacers to win 32 games before the season after Paul George got traded. I think they need to apologize :roflmao:

Well, looks like the Pacers will draw the Cavs in Round 1. Since the Cavs lost to the Sixers. A matchup I don't like at all. Playing LeBron in Round 1 is usually a death sentence for anyone. I don't think they sweep the Pacers but I see Cavs in 6. Pacers have a Good team and compete with anyone so I don't see a clobbering coming but I don't see a series win either. LeBron is the biggest draw in the NBA being the best player so I see the REFS being 1 sided coming. The NBA cant have him lose in Round 1. No matter what happens, the Pacers proved everyone wrong just by making the Playoffs. ESPN as whole had them winning 32 games. They have won 47 with still 2 games to play and will finish 5th in the East. So they just didn't squeak in the Playoffs either, they made it easily. The Pacers would've even made the Playoffs playing in the West IMO, probably as a 7th or 8th Seed.

3Peat's NBA News and Standings as of going into April 8th. Here's what's up:

Eastern Conference Standings - These will be the Playoff teams
1. Raptors 57-22
2. Celtics 54-25
3. Sixers 49-30
4. The LeBron 49-31
5. Pacers 47-33
6. Heat 43-37 (Heat have tiebreaker over Bucks)
7. Bucks 43-37
8. Bullets 42-38
-Raptors have clinched the #1 Seed and HCA in the East. Things could still change between the Sixers and The LeBron for that 3/4. Also the Heat, Bucks, and Bullets are in a dog fight for that 6th Seed. With Kyrie Irving out for the Playoffs, the 7th Seed may be the lucky to Seed to get as the Celtics are going to finish 2nd.

Western Conference Standings - Playoff teams as of now
1. Rockets 64-16
2. Warriors 57-23
3. Blazers 48-32
4. Jazz 46-33
5. Pelicans 46-34 (Pelicans have tiebreaker over Spurs)
6. Spurs 46-34 (Spurs have tiebreaker over Thunder)
7. Thunder 46-34
8. Wolves 45-35 (Wolves have tiebreaker over Nuggets)
Teams still alive: Nuggets 45-35

-Rockets have clinched the best record in the league and HCA throughout the Playoffs. Look at Seeds 4-8 + the Nuggets as well. How exciting is that? Who will finish where?

-Regarding Lakers news: The Lakers are currently 11th in the West at 34-45. The have won 8 more games compared to last season's 26.

-Updated as of heading into the morning of April 8th  Goodnight everyone.

Raptors in the East, but LeBron has their number, so the Cavs will emerge. Without Kyrie, the Chowds are cooked. It will be fun to watch Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance, Jr. in the NBSA Finals.

In the West, I think the Rockets and Warriors will play each other in the Western Conference Finals and I'm torn on that. I wasn't one of those Mike D'Antoni haters, but I can't stand CP3 (for obvious reasons) and James Harden. I also don't want the Dubs to claim a dynasty. Watch out for OKC. They could be a spoiler. Obviously, I want them one and done. #PG

Yeah I wouldn't cry if it was the Pacers vs Blazers in the Finals :roflmao: "lol4:. Realistically I know that wont happen. If the Pacers play LeBron in Round 1, they will be out early. I agree regarding the Thunder in the West, they are dangerous. We may get a Rockets vs Cavs Final?

Pacers just won #48. I just actually fucking watched Sabonis have a 30 point game and dominate Dwight Howard :roflmao:. Turner only played 7 minutes. Pacers hit the lottery by trading Paul George for Oladipo and Sabonis. Oladipo quietly chipped in 27 :roflmao:. They couldn't of got any better players to come in after losing PG13. Pritchard should get GM of the year because he seen something nobody in the world did :waaaaa:

Well, Mitch does have some experience with trying to re-mold a reeling team that is over the salary cap and has limited options. So do you think he will try to trade Dwight Howard's 24 mil contract into our cap space? :roflmao:

Here's what he's working with. A payroll with about $118 mil in GUARANTEED salaries for 2018-19.

http://www.basketballinsiders.com/charl ... am-salary/

BTW, look at Nicolas Batum's contract. I never see his contract listed as one of the worst in the NBA, but it's ridiculously bloated. He's never been an all-star and will never be an all-star. His career averages are 12.0 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.0 spg. Just for shits and giggles, I looked at Brandon Ingram's averages this season. 33.5 mpg, 43.8 fg%, 32.9 mpg 3pt fg%, 49.7% efg. 16.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.9 apg, 0.8 spg. Batum this season is 31.1 mpg, 41.3 fg%, 33.3 3pt fg%, 48.4% efg, 11.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 5.4 apg, 1.0 spg. Batum is earning 22.4 mil.

GOOD LUCK, MITCH! JUST DO IT!
