The whole team looks great. I know it's just a Summer League game but we look athletic and are moving at a fast pace and our defense is protecting the Rim.

I think hiring Luke will be the key to this whole thing. If Russell can play at a high level and Ingram turns into a SuperStar the sky is the limit. I love the way Russell looks, he looks like he has put on some muscle mass. Zubac looks coordinated and not clumsy like Scare did. He is moving well.

If these guys play as a TEAM from 1 thru 8 or 9, play unselfishly and trust each other, we can break that 30-win mark with a few extra to spare. A winning formula, mentality and attitude works wonders when you have the right players executing. I think Mitch and uh . . he who shall not be named . . gave young Luke a nice team to sharpen his claws with. His record is, what, 37-2 or something like that??? Phil who????

I might put the over/under at 29.5 after what I seen tonight. I know it was only a Summer League game but Russell just looked different compared to last seasons Summer League play. The game comes easy to Ingram much like it does Durant from what I seen of him tonight but I seen that watching several of his college games for more of a window to judge. I was really impressed with Zubac. I guess after watching Sacre all of these seasons anyone would look much better than that stiff! Nance impressed too. Luke could squeeze 30 wins out of these guys. He appears to be potentially a Great Coach in the making and the Deng signing was a Good one. Deng will average in double figures and play solid Defense IMO. Randle should be better this season as well and I am sure Clarky will be at worse the same as last season.

Our defensive potential with this team is, from eyeballing it, capable of covering teams well. We can try our best to get sorta Bad-Boy Piston-like and let our offense come to us in turn. We have guys who can (or uh, at least like to) score, we have fastbreak capability on defensive rebounds, we can form a nice offensive threat with our inside-outside players. If coached properly and pushed to their limit, throttled-up and in 5th gear, we just might shock a few haters and ease the stress of more than a few antsy Laker fans. Popcorn time!

It was surprisingly enjoyable for a Summer League game, if for no other reason to see the maturity of Russell and Nance and to satisfy my curiosity of Ingram and Zubac, who I never saw play. Also, I love what I THINK Luke has in mind for Anthony Brown, which is to use him as a 2 guard option in the mold of Thabo Sefolosha, Andre Roberson, Tony Allen, etc. He shut down Buddy Hield last night. I was hoping the Lakers would sign someone like that, but he's already on the team! Ingram has superstar written all over him even if he weighs less than the bowel movement I took this morning. Zubac is obviously quite skilled for a 19 year old big man and I have never seen anyone so tickled to wear the Purple & Gold!

Plus, he could be Ivan Drago in disguise!

I LOVE BASKETBALL! GO LAKERS! #18 COMIN' UP STRONG!!! TOO EASY, JUST WAAAAY TOO EASY!!!!! NEXT! :rollyellow:
