I just read a rumor yesterday that he was strongly leaning toward retirement, but there hasn't been any announcement. With the Pau signing, maybe he'll stick around for one more season, although the Durant bullshit may have sealed his decision.

See Broussard and ESPN don't have shit on me :roflmao: I reported this last week :waaaaa:

Ring count for the Alpha Dogs:
Bill Russell 11
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 6
Michael Jordan 6
Magic Johnson 5
Kobe Bryant 5
Tim Duncan 5
Shaquille O'Neal 4
Larry Bird 3
LeBron James 3
Dwyane Wade 3 - Wade deserves to be on this list as he was the best player on Miami's 2006 team. All of the players I have listed have at least been the best player on their team once when winning a Title. Scottie Pippen never was the best player - he doesn't belong.

Yeah Kobe was better I agree so were players like Jordan, Magic, and Kareem. Timmy is on the level of LeBron, Bird, and Shaq though IMO which is highly respectable.

Special Tier 1
1. Jordan
2. Magic
3. Kareem
4. Kobe
Tier 2
5. LeBron - thanks Tate
6. Shaq
7. Timmy
8. Bird
9. Hakeem
10. Moses
-My Top 10 out of who I have seen live Since 1977 being as unbiased as possible factoring in Stats, Games won, Championships won, League MVP's won, Finals MVP's won, ERA played in, Dominance in carrying a team, Clutch factor, and Longevity, Eye test.

Players like Karl Malone, DR J, Wade, Barkley, Dirk, Isiah, Garnett, Iverson, Stockton, and Pippen would be Tier 3. Durant and Curry belong as well already IMO./ Reggie Miller, Clyde Drexler, David Robinson, Pat Ewing, Jason Kidd, Dennis Rodman, Kevin McHale, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Bernard King, and James Worthy are Tier 4. I just listed 33 players I have seen live that I think are Top 30 material since the 1977 Season! I know where's Pau Gasol at?? - he borders Tier 4, or where is Dominique Wilkins?? I left Wilkins off of Tier 4 because he never made a Conference Finals a lot like CP3 hasn't LOL.

"Better" is such a relative term. Comparing bigs to floor players is like comparing pitchers to hitters in my view. In fact, because baseball is more individualized, THAT is even a bad comparison. Basketball is a team sport where you share the ball on offense and communicate on defense. What if Wilt played for Red Auerbach? What if Tim Duncan wasn't coached by Pop for 19 seasons? What if neither Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant didn't have Phil Jackson? What if Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan switched uniforms? What if Larry Bird got stuck playing for the Clippers?

"What if Larry Bird got stuck playing for the Clippers?" - The Clippers would've made a Final 4 :roflmao:
