I got Lakers in 7 so that is my vote. I am assuming the Warriors will win tomorrow and end this in 5 over Cleveland and if that happens that will prove to me their Greatness! Under the 80's rules I think Lakers win in 6.

Curry vs Magic
Klay vs Scott
Barnes vs Worthy
DGreen vs AC Green
Bogut vs Kareem
Iggy/Coop key bench players

-A lot of fun matchups! I think the Lakers could run with them and even shoot 3's when they need too because of Scott and Coop. To me, Kareem is the main difference here. I don't see anyone on their Roster that can guard him or Worthy inside. Magic is so much bigger than their Guards too but Curry and Klay are deadly from 3 which would make it a scary competitive series. Iggy is a dangerous player too and could defend Magic a little at times. Draymond Green is a bit scary as well - he could give the Lakers problems. When he is playing his 'A' game look out! I would put Coop on Curry a lot as part of my game plan.

If The Warriors lose this series (they won't) this question will be even more ridiculous than I believe that it already is.

#1. The Warriors have only won 1 championship (going on 2). The Showtime Lakers were in 9 Finals and won 5 Championships.

#2. The Warriors would get their ass kicked by any of the best teams of the 80's. 76'ers, Celtics, Bad Boys Pistons & especially by The Showtime Lakers. The team of the decade of the best decade in NBA history. Those who disagree either weren't even born yet or are getting so old their memory is failing them. Trust me The Warriors would be considered pansy candy asses in the 80's.

#3. Who's sticking The Captain?

#4. Who's sticking Magic?

#5. Who's sticking Big Game James?

And don't give me but Curry made 400 3's on the regular season and Klay Thompson is right behind him. Michael Coooooper would play smothering defense and don't forget about Byron Scott. He played great D too.

I doubt these Warriors could even beat 2001 Shaq & Kobe. Shoot! They couldn't even beat this year's sorry Laker team!

Assuming the Warriors win and put their stamp on this 73 win season. Teams I would take over them in a series are the 1985, 87, or 88 Lakers. 2000 or 2001 Lakers. 1992, 1996, or 1997 Bulls. 1986 Celtics. I am not sure about the 1983 Sixers or 1989 Pistons beating them? or any of the Spurs teams with Duncan? That is super debatable! The 2014 Spurs were really Great. The 2013 Heat with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh all in their prime + Allen vs the Warriors would be interesting as well. Allen is capable of having games of making more than 5 3's, they also had Mike Miller who is also capable of making a bunch of 3's. So they could play small ball with the best of them. The 2011 Mavs were a 3 point shooting machine as well and had Dirk so that would be another fun matchup for them.

After much (well, maybe just a little) deliberation and thought, I think the Lakers size and speed on both ends would wear down these new-age small-ball Warriors. Riles would out-coach Kerr. Showtime in 6.
