I can see why they'd do it that way given the excuse from last year's Finals that the Cavs would have won if Kyrie and Love had been healthy. So the Dubs reversed it on them and I loved it!

I am a Lakers fan first and a fan of the Western Conference second and there is nothing not to like about the Warriors. Jerry West is a consultant, Phil Jackson protege Steve Kerr is their head coach and Luke Walton is his assistant. Being a U of A grad, I love that Kerr, Walton and Iggy are a big part of this, too.

The Warriors are such a complete team with 2 Great players, a deep bench, and an awesome Coaching Staff! I am almost jealous of them right now because they are so scary Great much like us in the early 2000's. All we had to do was show up in 2001 and it was over with Kobe/Shaq/Horry/Fish/Fox and Phil Coaching. OKC gave them problems because not only did they have size, they are very athletic with 2 Top 5 players in the league and they still couldn't finish the Warriors either. Kings gave us fits in 2002 because they were deep, a Great passing team with size and had Adelman who was a Very Good Coach but they really didn't have a closer is why we beat them. Webber nor Bibby were ultimate closers.

If we draft Brandon Ingram and somehow convince either Whiteside or Biyombo to get on board with us, we would have a starting 5 of Whiteside/Biyombo (length and good P/R defenders), Randle (beast on the boards and will improve mid range game and playmaking), Ingram (length, great weakside and perimeter defender, while being a classic "3 and D" guy), Russell and Clarkson. I would rather see a more Buddy Hield type player at Clarkson's spot and I would also like to see us sign a defensive minded Roberson type to play alongside Russell. Iman Shumpert might be someone to look into. All of that is possible, although I do not believe that we will wind up with Whiteside ot Biyombo for a variety of reasons.

Yeah Free Agency is a mystery to me anymore after how it has gone over the last 2 summers. I am not sure who we will end up with. Your scenario lineup looks pretty decent on paper actually.

I don't want to jump the gun but if the Warriors win this I would have to ranked them the 5th best different core I have ever seen, that is going by what teams I have seen live since basically the late 70's, I can only have 1 team per same core

1. To me the 1988 Lakers or 87 team is #1. I love 88 because they went Back-to-Back!
2. 1986 Celtics - They were better than the Bulls, just look at their lineup LOL
3. 1996 Bulls
4. 2001 Lakers - We are very fortunate to have 2 different cores in 2 different era's in our lifetime that are all-time great!
5. 2016 Warriors - They have to be here IMO if the go Back-to-Back because they won 73 games as well. I don't think they would beat the 4 teams in a series I have listed above them but I would take them against any others best core team. Now if they lose for some reason than another team I found really Great was the 2014 Spurs. The 1983 Sixers and 1989 Pistons were Great as well but didn't win 73 games.

This Warriors team is Jerry West's greatest gift to his NBA since the '87 Lakers. Only the 90s Bulls can come close.

If the Cavs don't win tonight this could get ugly.

80's Lakers, 90's Bulls, 86 Celtics and 2001 Lakers I think could beat them but other than that I rank them next. I would love to watch this Warriors team play the 2014 Spurs, that would be Great stuff!

97-66 Warriors lead in a must win situation for LeBron. I am not even going to laugh about this too much because I almost feel bad for LeBron. Without his buddy Wade he isn't a CHAMPIONSHIP winner. He is a Great player but every Great player needs that side kick to win Championships like Curry has with Klay. This may end in 4. Kobe won 2 without Shaq so what's LeBron's deal? LeBron has a loaded lineup with Kyrie, Love, JR, Thompson. I don't want to hear the excuses anymore, This LeBron guy cant beat anyone Great unless he has Wade and how long have I said this, well for like 5 years.

Tate

If you think LeBron is better than Bird that is comical at this point. LeBron has a stacked team and is getting smoked. The 86 Celtics would beat this Warriors team in 6. Bird would beat either of these teams, they would sweep the Cavs. Green would get ate alive by McHale and I would put DJ on Klay. I would even have Walton shoot a 3 for the cherry on top when it was a blowout :roflmao:

The Warriors are on the verge of being in the discussion as the greatest team ever.

They are great! Greatest ever is questionable though, I liked our 87 and 88 teams and 2001 team.

So much for the critics who've been trying to bury Phil & the triangle saying how it's so outdated for the modern NBA. I never believed that.

Brandon Ingram, D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle will develop into all-stars. To me, it appears that LeBron's mileage is starting to show and since when does he make the players around him better anyway? He may be a freak of nature and an all-time great, but I don't think he inspires the players around him. On the other hand, I would love it if KD had the balls to take the torch from Kobe. He needs his own team anyway.
