So far so good in Cubs land. Cubs through 16 games only 9-7 but still a respectable record and in 1st place in the NL Central is the key. Jake is pitching today at Cincy so hopefully the Cubs can add to their win total.

Cubs win 4th straight to improve to 10-7. I think now since the Banner has been raised and the Rings given out, the Champs are back in their groove. They are so young and talented, they may dominate for years - we will see? One thing I love is, when the Cubs made the World Series, they took advantage of it and won. What I have really learned is, nobody gives a shit about 2nd place. Indians get no LOVE at all on Baseball Sites from Posters for last season. 99% of Posters call them chokes and say 2nd sucks. That series in reality was 50/50 until the final out. Glad the Cubs won, fans are ruthless :roflmao:.

Early Baseball takes:

Nice work by the Cubs so far through 20 games. I couldn't be happier. We are sitting at 12-8 = 60% winning% and in 1st place in our Division. Jake is 3-0 so far and Bryant is finally hitting like the MVP he is. In Baseball, teams that win 60% of their games win 98 games so I love the pace. I don't see anyone that scares me at all so far regarding defending the Championship as there are no dominant teams. Indians at 10-9, Cards at 9-11, and Dodgers at 9-11 are all kind of struggling too. Giants losing Bumgarner is a huge blow and their record sucks early. Nats are off to a great start but they choke every year in the Playoffs, they don't scare me at all. RedSox are Good but have been shaky as well so far at 11-8, Yankees are better at 11-7. Cant be shaky and beat the Champs(CUBS) when it's money time! Orioles and Astros are off to great starts but they aren't better than Cubs LOL.

Question is are the Rockies and DBacks for real? Rockies are 14-6 and DBacks are 13-8. Dodgers could have some competition in the NL West. I think the Giants are screwed with MadBum out - he may be out for 3 months.

So far this Baseball season is a crapshoot. That is one reason why the Cubs can Repeat, there are no other proven dominant teams and the Cubs know how to win it all. Cubs are in a Division, they more than likely will win fairly easily as well.

As April Baseball is winding down, the Cubs stand at 13-10 and in 1st place in the NL Central after beating the RedSox today at Boston. Pretty pleased with it actually, sometimes getting through that 1st month being a defending Champion of any sport can be tough. You have celebrations, complacency, etc.. So far we are better than the 2nd place Cards who are 12-11.

Effin' Kershaw. Effin' Giants. I'm going to make a trip to Chavez Ravine this year, in July when the Dodgers host the Giants again. Even when they're not playing well, they always get up for us.

It's been a season so far with tons of parity. Dodgers are 14-13, Cubs 13-12. Both teams have played well in spurts but also have played Bad in spurts. Even Jake and Kershaw have had a couple of iffy outings. It's real early in the season but now that May is here I am hoping the Cubs kick it up a notch. The NL Central is all bunched up and the Cubs are still on top but barely. I am just pleased the Cubs can never be called the ultimate losers anymore, they now have tradition to go with their 1907 and 1908 Championship Banners, a 2016 Championship Banner. Also I don't think there will ever be a greater Game 7 than last seasons with the Cubs winning 8-7 in 10 on the road vs a great Indians team. That game had a little of everything and it was a game for all the marbles. We may never see anything like that again.

My Cubs won tonight over Philly! 14-12 now on the season and still hold 1st place in their Division. Bryant hit another HR, great stuff!

Ken, do you think the Yankees can keep up their Great play? Everytime I see Chapman come in for them and pitch I get a funny feeling in my stomach. It brings back memories from last season! He was so crucial to the Cubs winning it all last season.

Gardy! Clutch!!!

No, I don't unless they can trade for a true ace. Starting pitching too shaky.

Yeah Cubs up 2-0 and 1 strike away, Rondon choked and gave up the 3 run HR to Gardner! Tough loss for me. Of course Chap comes in for the save LOL.

I have to admit Kenny, I was ready to lay into ya :roflmao: 2-0 and my MVP Bryant HR'd but man Rondon gave uo that fucking HR with 2 outs in the 9th! That is nutty. Congrats on that win because the Cubs were focused all day. I thought the new Champs was ready to take down the ultimate all-time Champs. I miss Chapman and now you guys have him.
