I am like you guys, I am focused on the Lakers mainly and getting #17 but I was just looking at some old video's of my 2016 Cubs on YouTube. That 2016 World Series Title team was pretty lethal, Joe Maddon's best lineup was:
CF - Dexter Fowler (leading off)
3B - Kris Bryant = speed and power AKA MVP
LF - Ben Zobrist = clutch
1B - Anthony Rizzo (clean up)
SS - Addison Russell
C - Willson Contreras
RF - Jason Heyward
2B - Javier Baez = AKA El Mago - what is funny about El Mago batting 8th was Maddon said he wanted a great player batting at the end of the lineup that had speed and power lol
P - Jake Arrieta (batting 9th), Arrieta actually has hit a few HR's in his career. He's was great for 6 Innings that season.
best PH - Kyle SchwarberMid Relief P - Mike Montgomery
Closer - Aroldis Chapman - he once threw 104 MPH in 2016, IMO he is the 2nd best Closer of all-time only behind this guy
+Good luck beating this 2016 Cubs team. What made that team really special was their defense. They picked off players at 1st base a lot and made so many amazing plays diving for balls. They had no flaws.
I just can't wait for Baseball either eventhough I am focused on the Lakers.
