HFA didn't mean a damn thing in this series. The Nats were huge underdogs! They won it all, congrats to the Nats! :kingclaphands:

So far the Cubs have made no moves in the 2020 off season. They didn't resign Cole Hamels to free up money but no pick ups. They are a long way away from their 103-58 2016 regular season/World Series Championship team. At least I got 1 Championship as a fan. It is so tough to win a World Series. Thank you Jake Arrieta, Jon Lester, Aroldis Chapman, Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, and Javier Baez for 2016. That season will always be special and never forgotten.

This Baseball scandal is unreal. All teams try and steal signs but they try off of wit. The 2017 Astros took cheating to another level. They used camera's and other technology to steal signs during their championship playoff run. They were investigated by the Commish and league and found 100% guilty of this. The batters of the 2017 Astros basically knew what pitch was coming when at bat. Both their GM and Manager have been banned for 1 year and have also been fired by the Astros. The 2018 Red Sox are now being accused of the same thing. They are being investigated by the Commish and league of using camera's and other technology to steal signs during their 2018 championship playoff run. The Red Sox have already fired Manager Alex Cora as they see the writing on the wall. This scheme started in the fall of 2017 so teams that won the WS prior to that are not being investigated and are in the clear. The 2016 Cubs did it the right way thank God!

*Here are a couple of questions for Kenny, Nuggs, Rev, and Craig:
Should the 2017 Astros, and if found guilty the 2018 Red Sox WS championships be vacated?

How pissed are you guys now after learning of this scandal? The Yankees lost to the Astros in the 2017 ALCS, lost to the Red Sox in the 2018 ALDS. The Dodgers lost to the Astros in the 2017 WS and lost to the Red Sox in the 2018 WS.

Here is the legit WS Champions over the last 5 seasons:
2015 - KC Royals
2016 - Chicago Cubs
2017 - Vacated
2018 - Vacated if the Sox are found guilty which is about to happen
2019 - Washington Nationals - as of now they are in the clear of no wrong doing

-What may have been? The Dodgers won more games than any team during the decade from 2010-2019, had the Astros not cheated they may have very well got their ring with this core of guys.

3Peat, simply put, everyone who was involved and participated in this should get the same punishment as the 1919 Black Sox and Pete Rose. They should be banned from baseball for life! What was done here was worse than what Shoeless Joe Jackson did(n't even do) and what Pete Rose did IM(not so)HO. Of course the championships should be vacated and I think they will be.

If you're tipping Kershaw's pitches he should be good enough to overcome that. I give less than two fucks about this whole thing . . maybe the bad juju and karma will result in a WS championship for my Dodgers in 2020.

The saddest part is that "America's Pastime" has - over the last 40 years - been as corrupted and fouled as our government. Steroids, cheating, juiced balls and bats . . give me some NFL and NBA and I'll spit sunflower seed shells on my living room floor.

Interesting take Rev. You are a better man than me. I would be furious if I found out the Cubs lost to a team that was stealing signs via technology the whole series.

Baseball starts in less than 2 months! I can't wait, the last 5 WS Champions:
2015 - KC Royals
2016 - my Chicago Cubs
2017 - Vacated
2018 - Vacated
2019 - Washington Nationals
-What will 2020 bring? No cheaters please. I look for a Yankees vs Dodgers WS, those teams are just fully loaded.

The heat is on the Astros bigtime and I love it! A lot of baseball players are upset that the Astros punishment isn't harsh enough. Cody Bellinger, Mike Trout, Aroldis Chapman, and Aaron Judge all are speaking out. LeBron James even spoke up on the issue and said what the Astros did was a joke and if he got cheated out of a Title he would be pissed. The only real punishment would be is to vacate their 2017 WS Title. That would take away the players rings on that team, hence punishing all the players on that team. That would be the ultimate sting. You can't give the Dodgers the WS Title (just can't go that far with it because they didn't win) but at least the Astros WS Title would be vacated. If their WS Title gets vacated, this scandal would go away and the baseball Commish would look great. Right now the Commish looks bad. Manfred is looking like a fool in the players eyes, media's eyes, and in the fans eyes. Pressure is on to vacate Manfred.

The 2018 Red Sox are still being investigating but many know they are guilty of the same thing as the 2017 Astros. They are about to be in the same boat as the 2017 Astros. You guys have to love the 2016 Cubs :roflmao: , beat the Giants 3-1 in the NLDS, beat the Dodgers in the NLCS 4-2, beat the Indians 4-3 without HFA in the WS without cheating  . Bryant, Rizzo, Baez, Zobrist, Arrieta, Lester, Chapman will always be all-time great Cubs! That is my team baby!

I am like you guys, I am focused on the Lakers mainly and getting #17 but I was just looking at some old video's of my 2016 Cubs on YouTube. That 2016 World Series Title team was pretty lethal, Joe Maddon's best lineup was:

CF - Dexter Fowler (leading off)

3B - Kris Bryant = speed and power AKA MVP

LF - Ben Zobrist = clutch

1B - Anthony Rizzo (clean up)

SS - Addison Russell

C - Willson Contreras

RF - Jason Heyward

2B - Javier Baez = AKA El Mago - what is funny about El Mago batting 8th was Maddon said he wanted a great player batting at the end of the lineup that had speed and power lol

P - Jake Arrieta (batting 9th), Arrieta actually has hit a few HR's in his career. He's was great for 6 Innings that season.

best PH - Kyle Schwarber

Mid Relief P - Mike Montgomery

Closer - Aroldis Chapman - he once threw 104 MPH in 2016, IMO he is the 2nd best Closer of all-time only behind this guy :mariano:

+Good luck beating this 2016 Cubs team. What made that team really special was their defense. They picked off players at 1st base a lot and made so many amazing plays diving for balls. They had no flaws. :pissedkobe: I just can't wait for Baseball either eventhough I am focused on the Lakers.
