Glad to see your Cubbies making that playoff push, 3Peat! It looks like you, Rev, Nuggz and I will all be IN, while Jesus's Mets will be OUT!
As for my always injured Mix 'n Match Bronx Bombers, they set a major league record for home runs in a calendar month with 74 HOME RUNS in August! To put that in perspective, the prior record was 58! Wow!!
In yesterday's 4-3 extra inning game against the A's at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees' 3 best hitters, all right handed hitters, hit 4 solo home runs to win the game, 2 by El Gary Sanchez, 1 by "All Rise" Aaron Judge and the walk off game winner by DJ "Machine" LeMahieu. No disrespect to Sasha Vujacic intended!
The Yankees also barely own the best record in baseball. Considering the rash of ongoing injuries (they have never been fully healthy all season) and the mediocre starting pitching, Aaron Boone should be a shoo-in for Manager of the Year. The fact that they're on pace to win 105 games with only 25 games to go in the regular season is mind blowing.
