It's so early in the season that it's dumb to worry about teams but what is wrong with the Dodgers so far? They are 2-5 and have been shutout 3 times. Cubs are struggling a bit too at 2-3. I understand April and May teams are just getting a feel for things but you don't want to dig a deep hole either in your Division by the time June rolls around. The Diamondbacks are no joke!

Ahhh, my Dodgers will take a little while to figure things out (I hope) . . and just like that, the Oakland A's claimed Trayce Thompson off waivers from the Yankees. Now he plays in the same place as his brother Klay!

Cubs thrash BrewCrew in Milwaukee 8-0. Best game they have played of the year so far. Now at 3-3, back to .500.

Celebrating 50 years of Baseball in 2018 = 1968-2018! That is half a Century! 1968-2017 Seasons = 50 seasons played. The Top 8 Greatest teams (Elite 8) to win the WS record wise since the 1968 Season - last 50 seasons:
1. 1998 New York Yankees = 114-48
2. 1970 Baltimore Orioles = 108-54
tie 2. 1975 Cincinnati Reds = 108-54
tie 2. 1986 New York Mets = 108-54
5. 1984 Detroit Tigers = 104-58
6. 2016 Chicago Cubs = 103-58 :rthup: , played 161 games as 1 game was canceled due to weather
7. 1968 Detroit Tigers = 103-59
tie 7. 2009 New York Yankees = 103-59
-These have been the 8 most dominant teams in their respective seasons that have won the WS record wise over the last 50 seasons.

It's early folks but wanted to give an update on how our favorite teams are doing so far through the 1st 2 weeks of Baseball. Cubs and Yankees both sit at 7-7, and the Dodgers sit at 4-9. All 3 struggling a bit. Cubs are only 3 games out of 1st place so that isn't too bad, surprisingly the Pirates are in 1st at 10-4. Yankees are already 5 games out of 1st place behind the RedSox who are 12-2, Dodgers are 6.5 games out of 1st place behind the Diamondbacks. Like I said it's real early and nothing to panic about but I will say this, the RedSox and Diamondbacks both are legit Very Good teams.

Impressive speed and co-ordination from the big boy!

In other news, A's pitcher gets a *no-hitter (couple of ump calls assisted) vs. the Red Sox.

That was impressive because the RedSox have been playing out of their asshole all season :roflmao:. They had only lost 2 games up until last night. Maybe they are coming back down to earth? Manaea is the A's Pitcher.

I am starting to like what I see out of the Cubs. They have been playing much better and are now 11-9 through 20 games. I am still not happy we lost Jake Arrieta and I am not sold on Yu Darvish being an ACE at this point. Having said that our Bats are tearing it up of late. The Cubs took out Cleveland tonight in Cleveland pretty easily 10-3. First time they have been back since winning the WS there in November of 2016 - Oh the memories! Cubs are now only 2 games out of 1st place in the NL Central early on in the season.

Well . . . after a 3-7 start, the Dodgers seem to be righting the ship and are at .500 (11-11) going into today's game vs. the Marlins. Kershaw gets the ball tonight, and he needs our bats as his ERA is a respectable 2.45 but his record is 1-3. One of the worst starts of his career, for sure -- but nothing to stress over so early. Gotta catch those D-Bags!!!

Cubs just took 3 in a row from the BrewCrew, very impressive. Now 14-10 = 2nd place and only a half game out of 1st behind the 15-10 Cards in the NL Central. Even without Jake this season I do think we make our 4th Straight NLCS, hoping for another WS win but not sure on that one. Cubs have become a legit powerhouse over these last 4 seasons nobody can deny! Never thought I would say those words 10 years ago :roflmao:
2015 = 97-65, made NLCS
2016 = 103-58, won WS, 2nd best team over the last 30 seasons record wise to win a WS (1988-2017)
2017 = 92-70, made NLCS
2018 = ?, so far 14-10 and just .5 out of 1st in the NL Central

2015 = Jake Arrieta won NL Cy Young, Kris Bryant won NL Rookie of the Year.
2016 = Kris Bryant won NL League MVP, Ben Zobrist won WS MVP.
-Derek Jeter never won an League MVP his whole career, Bryant got 1 in his 2nd season!

Cubs 4 in a row over BrewCrew, sweet. Now 15-10, on our way to domination!
