I went to watch the Yankees destroy the Angels last night and CC Sabathia followed it up with 7 solid innings tonight to bring the winning streak to 9 games.

The Yankees lineup is frightening. It is that great. The issue is whether the pitching will hold up, although they do have plenty of trade chips. I'm guessing that they will be buyers at the trade deadline and hope an ace falls into their lap.

My bums have had pretty much the worst start to the season one could expect from a defending NL champion. Our minds, and maybe our hearts, are not in the right place right now. Roberts is going to have to show that he's still in command of this team, or things might get ugly!

Not sure what is wrong with the Dodgers sitting at 12-15, it is early so I wouldn't panic but the D-Backs are no joke and have a sizeable lead in NL West already at 7 games. Cubs are just a half a game out in the NL Central at 15-10 behind the 17-11 Pirates. Pirates will fade IMO, I am more worried about the Cards to be honest who are at 15-12.

Yankees have a team that can win a WS, they are 1 of about 7 that can. I still think the Dodgers can too eventhough they are struggling at 12-15. The others are Astros, RedSox, Cubs, D-Backs, and Indians from what I have seen so far but we are just now heading into May. It's super early. The Nats have been shockingly Bad so far at 12-16.

This is another reason why every year is different. Health and injuries can really derail a team. That is why I always say if you make the WS, SB, or NBA Finals you have to take advantage of it because you may never even get back. Thankfully the Cubs did that in 2016 because last season the Dodgers tore us up 4-1 in the NLCS and we didn't get back. Cubs may never get back again? In Baseball it's tough to even win your League 2 seasons in a row. There have been no Repeat WS Champion since your Yankees did it in 2000 = 19 seasons ago!

As of the end of April, here are the NL Central standings:
Cubs 16-10
Pirates 17-12
BrewCrew 17-13
Cards 15-12
Reds 7-22
-Cubs are right where they are supposed to be = 1st place! Cubs only have 10 losses, I always look at that loss column. Everyone else has at least 12 in the Division.

-Following the Dodgers/D-Backs game and the D-Backs are up 5-0 in the 5th. Not good, I could never figure out why the Dodgers didn't re-sign Grienke after the 2015 Season? They would've won the WS last season had he been there IMO.

D-Backs ended up beating the Dodgers tonight. They are 8 games ahead of them right now. That isn't good. Roberts needs to get his shit together! I picked them to win the WS this year.

Cubs had their 5 game winning streak snapped tonight but are still in 1st place in the NL Central at 16-11. Ok Rev and Craig, what in the hell is going with the Dodgers? They are now 12-17 and Kershaw is 1-4. They are 9 games out of 1st in the NL West behind the D-Backs.

Dodgers win, but lose another key player. We couldn't script a worse start to the season!

Yanks are looking AWESOME, but it's early. Sevy with a complete game shutout on the road against the defending World Champs! Giancarlo Stanton with two homers and all four RBIs!

On the MLB Channel they ranked their Greatest teams over the last 50 seasons which is since 1968. Done by a panel of ex-players on that network. The 1998 NY Yankees were #1. Kenny has huge bragging rights :kingclaphands:

Here was that list:
1. 1998 Yankees
2. 1975 Reds - They loved the Big Red Machine!
3. I am proud to say the 2016 Cubs were 3rd on that list! Didn't expect that but pretty cool.
