That was a good series, sorry Rev the Cubs win the rubber game and take the series 2-1. Lester is looking better than ever. Next week should be fun as well. Cubs are now %points ahead of the Brewers for 1st place in the NL Central. Brewers are an interesting team as they keep winning like we do. We cant pull away from them fools.

SWEEP!!! Dodgers sent 7 balls out of the park in defeating the Mets 8-7 in 11 innings. As good as we've been the last month, the D-bags keep on winning. Looks like the Cubs have the same problem with the Beermakers, except just about every team in the NL Central is playing crappy over their last 10 games. Only the cellar Reds have been hot lately, but it's not likely they'll climb out. The Astros are benefitting from a Seattle slump, gaining separation in their division. And it looks like another season of classic rivalry between the Red Sox and Yanks.

The Cubs laid a fat egg over the weekend. Injuries to our BullPen is killing us. Edwards and Morrow are out and out for a while. That is our 2 best Pitchers out of the Pen. Our Pen cost us 3 games in Cincy. We are still only 2 games out of 1st in the NL Central because the Brewers actually looked human vs the Cards and lost 2 of 4 to them. Tonight Cubs at Dodgers Rev.

One difference between the Dodgers and Cubs is that Chicago has its championship, while Los Angeles is still trying to win one with its current group of players, led by the best pitcher of his generation, Clayton Kershaw, who makes his first home start Thursday since coming off the disabled list.

While Underwood makes his debut, Yu Darvish, whom the Cubs signed away from the Dodgers this offseason, will begin a rehab stint in the minors as he recovers from a triceps injury. Cubs star Kris Bryant is expected back in the series after missing time with a shoulder ailment. Both teams are dealing with injuries, but that won't be an excuse come September. Their payrolls and rosters won't allow for it.

Dodgers win on early and late solo home runs. Both teams seem to have hit scoring slumps, but the Cubs are not playing well all around. It's still too early to really worry, though.

This is the worse the Cubs have played prior to the 2015 Season. I don't recall them losing 5 in a row at any 1 point from 2015-2017. Dodgers lead series 1-0. The NL is so bunched up with parity that I am not worried overall but I am concerned with their current play.

All is good in Cubs land again. Cubs with a huge win over LA 9-4, the losing streak is over. Cubs and Dodgers are now 1-1 in the series. If the season ended today the Cubs would still host the Wildcard game as they improve to 43-34. They still have the 4th best record in the NL. Jon Lester is now 10-2, thank God for him. Javi Baez with a Grandslam tonight!

Wood is settling down after giving up two early, and the Bums chased Kendrick for 6 quick runs. Cubs get a run home off an bad play at first so it's 6-3 Dodgers after 5 inneruskies *in my Bob Eucker voice*

Wood gets pulled and immediately the Cubs put two on the board . . but with our historic home run streak this month (51, and our record is 53) we put an insurance run on the board and Monsta Kenley came in for 4 excellent outs. Kíke Hernandez with two great catches to put em away. Tomorrow -- we SWEEEP!!!

Series is actually 2-1 Dodgers but it wouldn't surprise me if you guys win 3 games to 1. Cubs are in a slump.

Cubs up 10-3 in the 7th, looks like we are going to get out of LA with a split 2-2. Still need 9 more Outs. If the Cubs hold on, that would mean they just beat the Dodgers 4 of 7 over the last week of play. A win today keeps the Cubs at the 4th spot in the NL, 1st Wildcard spot. It's all good!

Cubs win! We get a 2-2 split in LA and win it 11-5. This will be a Great flight home as the Dodgers have been on fire lately. With Kershaw Pitching today I was worried but we got em! :kingclaphands: Cubs remain in the 4th spot in the NL Playoffs, 1st Wildcard spot at 44-35.

Between Kemp, Bellinger and Forsythe we went 0-12 at the plate, and of course as soon as Kersh gets yanked Buehler gives up the yams. I knew the Cubbies' bats wouldn't stay silent for long. Two of the best NL teams slugging it out. I saw a stat yesterday showing the Cubs, Dodgers and Astros as having the best winning % in the last 4 seasons. Which of course stings because the Cubs and Astros are sporting rings -- the last one because of us, Kersh and Darvish. It's like when Kobe got back to the Finals and got spanked by the Celtics . . . a seething anger that can only be cooled by that champagne spray in October.

Rev, The Dodgers and Cubs have dominated over the last 4 years. You guys should've won the WS last season. You will be in the NLCS again vs my Cubbies. Problem is the damn AL is so dominant, the winner of that league will be real tough to beat. The Astros, Yankees, and Redsox are all Elite teams. I don't see any weaknesses with those 3 teams. When the Astros acquired Verlander last season that is why they beat you guys basically + Darvish Pitching like DooDoo. So far we are almost halfway through the season and stinky Yu has given the Cubs 1 win and has been on the DL most of the year. He is getting a free expensive paycheck. I have no idea why we just didn't re-sign Jake Arrieta? I am still pissed off we didn't. He is an ACE, Yu isn't. Yu has been Good in his career but not ACE material.

Cubs over the last 4 seasons from 2015-2018:
2015 = 97-65, 5th Spot Wildcard. Won Wildcard game over Pirates. Won Divisional Round 3-1 over the Cards. Lost in the NLCS to the Mets 0-4.

2016 = 103-58, NL Central Division Champs #1Seed. Won Divisional Round 3-1 over Giants. Won NLCS over Dodgers 4-2. Won WS over Indians 4-3.

2017 = 92-70, NL Central Division Champs #3Seed. Won Divisional Round 3-2 over Nats. Lost in the NLCS to the Dodgers 1-4.

2018 = 44-35 so far and the current #4Seed/4th Spot Wildcard. Playoff team as of now in late June.

Overall numbers
Cubs Regular Season record = 336-228 (59.6% winnings/basically 60%). Average wins per season 97!
Playoff Record = 19-17 (52.8% winnings) Good for the Playoffs.
