He is the Steeler player that came out of the locker room and stood for the Anthem while all of his teammates stayed in the locker room and wouldn't even acknowledge the flag. Villanueva's jersey being the #1 selling jersey shows how there are millions of people offended by this kneeling stuff, Dude is an Offensive Lineman and isn't even a popular player like a QB is. I rest my case.

#1 this is a baseball thread . .
#2 Villanueva said he felt like he betrayed his teammates. Which he didn't, because he did what everyone has the right to: Honoring their faith/belief in whatever way they choose to. Trust me, almost all of my pro-Kaep friends think what he did was just fine and proved the point that a team can have different views but still operate on the field as a unit. This has NOTHING to do with "disrespecting the flag", as the U.S. Constitution clearly states that NO ONE is obligated to stand. People wear U.S. flag clothing up their buttcracks and put it on beer cans, so what is "respecting" is a very vague thing. Don't let Heartland politics cloud your sensibility, 3Peat!! You're better than that!
Go Dodgers!

Hell, YES! I didn't expect the Yankees to make the post-season. I'm conflicted about the one game play-in, but teams (Giants) have played in and won it all, so I suppose winning a one game playoff "series" can give you momentum. Good luck to your World Champion Chicago Cubs and to Rev's Bums who reside in Los Angeles.

On this date in Yankees history: The greatest closer ever walks off the mound one last time in an emotional farewell.
