Yeah 1988 was a special year for me too as the Lakers Repeated, that was Magic Johnson's last championship. Hell of a year for you obviously with the Lakers and Dodgers winning it all! The Yankees last won it in 2009 so that isn't that long ago regarding their fans. The Lakers won it in 2010 so that was even this decade. Some Lakers fans on other Blog's/Chat Boards get on my nerves with their lack of patience, imagine if they had to wait 23 seasons in between Championships which I had to do with the Indianapolis Colts when they moved to Indy in 1984? Finally the Colts won one in 2006 and it took a player like freakin Peyton Manning to even get the one! Imagine having to wait 108 seasons like Cubs fans have had to endure LOL? I am proud to be a Cubs fan and not a bandwagon type of guy, been a fan since 1984 so it was worth the wait after what I witnessed Wednesday night! Proud to be a Lakers and Colts fan too. Lakers are still the kings in my fandom though has I have witnessed 10 Championships in my lifetime with them since 1980. I have 1980, 82, 85, 87, 88, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010 regarding the Lakers/2006 regarding the Colts, and now 2016 regarding the Cubs to celebrate as a Truefan of those teams. I did take a liking to the Mets during the 1986 WS but it was only because I loved Doc Gooden and couldn't stand Roger Clemens or the RedSox - it was a highschool thing as some loved Clemens and others loved Doc as those 2 were the best pitchers. So I was glad the Mets won in 1986 as well.
