MLB - the 7th Inning Stretch

Here are some fun facts. Out of the teams this decade (2010-2019) that have won a WS Title, these have been the best teams record wise for a decade:

-Reason I bring this up is, the Dodgers need to get it done this season to please their fans more than anything. Here is the LA Dodgers record this decade = 919-701! That is how dominant they have been this decade. Good luck Rev and L4L

Nice stats 3Peat! Wow, the Cards have been balling like that, huh? Bet their fans feel a little pissed as well.

A's young hurler gives up 3 HR quickly to let Tampa Bay roll outta Oakland with a win and a date with the mighty Ass Trolls!!

Changing of the Guard: Dodgers' ace Walker Buehler - NOT Clayton Kershaw - will start game one of the series vs. The Washington Nationals. We're gonna SWEEEP!!!

That dumbass Acuna from the Braves who got benched for not running out a deep hit in a game last month just did it AGAIN in a one-run loss to the Cards in game one of their NLDS. What an asshole - had he stretched his hit to a double it could have led to a run.

In the other NLDS, the Dodgers blanked the Nats 6-0 in their usual dominating fashion. Walker Buehler is lights-out. Next up, Kershaw! If we don't sweep these pretenders, I'll be a little miffed.

Just win your games Rev, don't worry about the other idiot teams. Good win tonight. Cards will beat the Braves in the other series, Braves do not have that playoff championship mentality. Cards are great but Dodgers are better, it is your time in 2019.

I am all in on the Dodgers this year. I think it is their time. Astros and Yankees may be their opponent but time to step up right? :pissedkobe:

I remember you giving me hell back in 2016 saying never give up on the Cubs, I promised a championship after that and my Cubs delivered, it is your time now. GO DODGERS!

Congrats Kenny and Nuggs on the Yankees sweep of the Twins 3-0. They made it look too easy. They are ALCS bound. 2 huge Game 5's tomorrow night as the Nats play at Dodgers and the Cards play at Braves. How much pressure are Dodgers fans feeling about now?

Roberts & Kershaw are to blame. Roberts with his sentimental coaching. Making “gut coaching calls”. And Kershaw Who has to be the biggest playoff choker in MLB history.

Sorry Brethren about the Dodgers. I was shocked they lost so I didn't even post here after the game. I figured I would wait for you Rev and L4L to comment on it first. Kershaw giving up back to back HR's was a WTF moment that is for sure! . Baseball can really be cruel when you invest so much time in your favorite team and lose in the playoffs. The Cubs were really disappointing this season as they didn't even make the playoffs for me. This Dodgers core team may not win a WS, they have had a hell of a run but I know you guys feel like without that WS win that it diminishes your run a bit. I would've felt the same way had the Cubs not won one with Maddon. Anyway I am not sure who to root for now as I had the Dodgers playing in the WS again.

After the 6th inning in MLB playoff history, Kershaw has a 12 ERA. TWELVE!!! And Roberts still threw him in. I understand taking a risk on redemption and giving/getting a chance to change the narrative . . I really get it. But in sports you only get a couple chances and the last three seasons have been etched in stone as epic failures. This team can still win a World Series in the next two seasons but not with "Nice Guys Finish Last" Roberts and Kershaw. Or maybe we're just superficial modern fans who didn't live through the heartache of decades of 'almost had it' from the Red Sox, Cubs, Dodgers, Lakers and several other franchises whose older fans know how decades of heartbreak really feel.

All I have are my Lakers now :waaaaa:

Yeah Kershaw is puzzling. I used to get pissed when Peyton would dominate the regular season but then lose in the playoffs for years. Peyton like LeBron both figured out how to win in the playoffs eventually. I hate to say this but I do not see it with Kershaw. I love Kershaw by the way, the guy is a legend but his playoff appearances have sucked.

Roberts may need to go, the guy just can't manage in the playoffs. Dodgers are like the 90's Bills and 90's Jazz, like a hair away from great but just lose every season for some odd reason. I can't figure it out.

I had to wait 32 seasons as a Cubs fan to get a World Series Title in 2016 (1985-2016) being a fan since 1984. The Dodgers have now not won one since the 1988 season = 31 seasons (1989-2019), maybe 32 is the magic number as in Magic Johnson #32. 2020 could be the season?

This decade is going to be remembered for 3 main things (2010-2019):

#1 - The Cubs winning the World Series in 2016 for the 1st time in 108 years. I partied like it was 1999 Prince style when that happened.

#2 - The Giants being the team of the decade. They won more World Series than any team this decade = 2010, 2012, and 2014 = 3.

#3 - The Dodgers winning more games than any team over the decade but failing to win a World Series.

Sometimes the sports world can work out perfectly for some and for others it can be cruel. I remember becoming a Cubs fan in 1984. I watched them every day on WGN while on summer break at the age of 13. I loved Harry Caray and Steve Stone, Ryne Sandberg and Rick Sutcliffe were so great. The Cubs had an awesome team that season as well. They lost in the NLCS though which was shocking. I remember crying but I was only 13. Over the years I still loved them but it was failure after failure. In 1987 Andre Dawson did win NL MVP hitting 49 HR's but our team finished last. He hit HR's before the steroid era like it was nothing. He is one of my favorite players of all-time. In 2003 we lost in the NLCS again, blew a 3 games to 1 lead to the Marlins. The Bartman debacle was just another curse on us. I was really depressed with that loss. We had great Pitching with Kerry Wood and Mark Prior. That was Sammy Sosa's year to get a ring as well. 2016 was finally our time with the likes of Jake Arrieta, Jon Lester, Aroldis Chapman, Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, and Javy Baez! A World Series win led by Joe Maddon. I had to wait a long time but it was worth the wait. Our FO finally built a complete team. Theo Epstein is a genius and that is what it took to build a World Series winner.

Nats up 3-0 over Cards, that looks over :roflmao: . Yankees/Astros 1-1 = a great series.

Congrats to the Nats for winning the NL, nobody seen that coming. Astros up on the Yankees 3-1 in the ALCS. Doesn't look good for the Yankees.

I honestly do not see anybody beating the Astros but I never did. I had Astros over Dodgers in the WS before it started. Astros have dominant pitching and hitting. WS winners this decade:

2010 - Giants
2011 - Cardinals
2012 - Giants
2013 - Red Sox
2014 - Giants
2015 - Royals
2016 - Cubs
2017 - Astros
2018 - Red Sox
2019 - I hate to say it but I see 2 in 3 years for the Astros coming. They are doing what my Cubs should've been doing. Cubs lost key players to their team after 2016, Astros just keep adding good players to their 2017 team. At least my Cubs finally won one after 108 seasons :roflmao: , as of now it looks like that is all they will get for a while.
