Yep. Colts won it 2006, Cubs won it in 2016, now I need the Lakers to at least tie the Celtics for most Championships! As a Fan I have enjoyed 10 Championships by our Lakers = 1980/82/85/87/88/2000/2001/2002/2009/2010, A Championship by the Colts in 2006, and now a Cubs Championship in 2016 in my lifetime. I also was a big Sugar Ray Leonard fan and witnessed his win over Hagler in 1987 which I put right in there with my fandom Championships.

I am going to enjoy this but I can smell a DYNASTY coming with this Cubs core team. Their whole core is young and they have Great Pitching. The pressure is off now as they won one. This team could easily win 2 or 3 in a row.

Craig, when it got to 8-7 I had to walk away from the TV because the only thing I was thinking at that point was Cleveland is going to hit a 2 run HR and win. I couldn't even watch the final out.

I honestly have to say I have only felt like this 4 other times in my life regarding being a sports fan. That was when we beat the Celtics in Boston Garden in 1985 to break the Celtics curse = 1985 Finals, Repeating in 1988, Kobe/Shaq 3Peating in 2002 because 3Peating is really rare, and the Colts winning the SB in 2006. This Cubs Championship is in my Top 5.

I would probably say in order my favorites are:
5. This 2016 Cubs Championship - Has to be Top 5 for me, 108 years is a long time coming.
4. Kobe/Shaq 3Peat in the 2002 Finals. No team has 3Peated since that team did 15 seasons ago.
3. Colts winning the SB in the 2006 Season led by Peyton. Had to go through the Patriots/Tom/Belichick to get there.
2. Lakers Repeating in 1988 - first team to Repeat in 20 seasons. Still my favorite Lakers team to this day!
1. Lakers over Celtics in 1985 - Celtics had HCA and we were 0-7 against them in the Finals lifetime + lost in 1984 to them, Magic's revenge on Bird. That Championship had me on cloud 9 like tonight with the Cubs and the other Championships I just mentioned!

By the way I love all of the Lakers Championships pretty evenly but this is a list basically stating the jubilation I have felt after certain one's. This are the 5 I have had the most satisfaction from. The 2010 Lakers beating the Celtics just missed this list by a hair regarding a Top 5, Kobe's win over the Celtics does compare to the 5 I have listed. Tonight is unreal though, hard to put into words because it's the Cubs.

People in the media are calling this the best Game 7 of all-time in Baseball history! What a game and series! 103-58 best record in Baseball for 2016 and series wins over the Giants 3-1, Dodgers 4-2, and Indians 4-3. Overall the Cubs only lost 64 games total = 114-64 and they won a Game 6 and 7 on the road to win a WS. Bumgarner, Kershaw/HIll, and Kluber were all a bitch to try and beat. Indians had some awesome relievers too like Miller and Allen. I still think the best team we played was the Dodgers during this Playoff run - they had 2 solid starters in Kershaw/Hill, I think nerves got the better of the Cubs in the first 4 games vs the Indians, once the Cubs won Game 5 the bats came alive.

I looked back at history and the last team to Repeat was the 2000 Yankees and it was a 3Peat 1998-2000, interesting how no team can seem to Repeat over the last 15+Years. Not sure what the future holds but the Cubs only have 2 Free Agents = Fowler and Chapman/Ross is retiring, everyone else will be back and they are all young. Theo Epstein is a genius the way he built the Cubs and the Cubs as an organization are very smart regarding player contracts. I will enjoy this all winter but I always look ahead too and I love what I see even for next season. I would love to see Chapman back but my gut feeling tells me he is a gone. If a contender picks him up they will be dangerous, especially if it's the Dodgers or Giants.

Wish I had that option here in the great food wilderness! Chicago itself is the best place for it! Almost worth the danger of downtown Chi-town for it. Did it about 8 years ago - great pizza there!

Aurelio's Pizza is the best in Chicago. I have been there a few times as I have a cousin that lives in Chicago and have visited her on occasion. That pizza is so fucking good with just pepperoni and sausage on it that it's like being in heaven when eating it :roflmao: She is going to mail me a Championship hat as an early X-Mas gift, talked to her on the phone earlier. I need to make way back to Chicago to visit her and the city, I am only 2 hours away + I can eat me an Aurelio's. Hey Cleveland :anfinger:. Hey LeBron I seen you celebrating when the Indians tied it 6-6 like you were a wild man, how's that loss taste :anfinger: you too! Go Cubs! We got the Ring!

I kept my promise and had deep dish from Selma's right here in San Juan Capistrano, the home of Kyle Hendricks. Before the game I found out that his parents both worked at the public golf course I live on. I had no idea that Kyle was from SJC until an hour before Game 7. Pretty cool. BTW< what the fuck was Joe Maddon thinking when he yanked him with 2 outs in the 5th inning? He was pitching fine. Same with Lester when he yanked him. Horrible managing. Panicked. He got real lucky.
