So Tuesday is the big night?

Nobody has really talked about it much but Tuesday is Draft selection night. That is when we find out whether we keep our Top 3 pick or not. I didn't even realize it was Tuesday. I was thinking it was next week for some reason. Damn, it's 2 days away!

Of course it would be much better if we keep the pick, but I will re-post the article that explains why losing the pick isn't the worst thing that can happen for those of you who may not have read it. It's a must read.

Yeah I read this. It's an important read for any Laker fan.

On one hand we have 2 college players who could come in and become superstars for the team lucky enough to draft them. But after those 2 you get a bunch of solid role players at best. Then we lose next year's 1st round pick.

Then on the other hand you got next year's draft that boasts a much deeper pool of players (but no superstars like Simmons & Ingram).

So even if we lose this year's pick and then get a worse draft position next year (because we can't suck much worse than this year) we'd still get a solid draft pick. Just maybe not a franchise changer like the top 2 kids in this draft.

Me personally I hope that we keep the pick & hopefully get the 1st or 2nd pick.

I read it as well. I definitely want us to keep our pick. I would hope next season we can at least win 30 games or so and not be anywhere near a Top 3 pick again. We hopefully will make enough moves to improve our team quite a bit with the Salary Cap room we have.

Boston has EIGHT picks in the first two rounds.

That's insane. They are so far ahead of us right now it isn't even funny!

It matters a lot if they luck into #1 or #2. It also enables they to make trades by packaging these farce crapshoots into deals. 3 of the 4 picks we gave to Phoenix for Nash have essentially turned into shit and if don't keep our top 3 pick, we will see what this one turns into. Oh, they were able to obtain Brandon Knight in a package that INCLUDED the pick, so there's that. Draft picks are garbage for the most part and with the cap going through the roof, their value goes back to the shit it has been for most of NBA history, so fuck the Celtics.

I hope we keep the pick, too, but don't discount the extra 5-6 mil in cap space we keep this off season if we lost the pick. That could be more valuable than we are giving it credit for. Also, look at all the young players we already have. I will be upset if we don't keep it, but in reality it won't be the end of the world.

Boston is not so far shit....

If and only IF they LUCK into a star this draft, congrats.

It's not likely and they draft horribly.

All role players. No stars. In the playoffs to simply be a joke.

Portland is ahead of us because they are building.

Boston is a joke

Isiah Thomas is no joke and Brad is a Very Good Coach plus they have a slew of Draft picks coming. That worries me.

I hope and pray we get Ben Simmons and I will leave it at that. Ben can have that type of Andrew Luck impact where the team improves like 20 games, JMO.

Thomas is a joke.

He'll never defend. It's already peaking. Soon as he loses a step he'll be a liability.

Andrew Luck?

Simmons is unlikely to be drafted here but nothing about him screams immediate impact on WL record. He couldn't do that in college.

Nothing about Boston should worry you.

None of those picks are better than the players they already have.
Brad Stevens is very good based on what? Regular season record?

MDA and Mike Brown must be very good too.

Isiah Thomas is a solid player and Brad was a Great College Coach and was in the running for Coach of the Year this season with the Celtics. Regarding Ben Simmons, he wasn't used right at LSU is the main reason why LSU's record wasn't that good and he still put up huge numbers. Their Coach stinks, Luke IMO will be a Good, possibly Great Coach. I used Luck as an example because I think Simmons is a player that can make an immediate impact on Wins/Losses. We will see. I was right about Andrew Wiggins panning out and as much as people don't want to admit it in here, Okafor (the guy I would've took) had a better Rookie season than Russell had as well, unfortunately he got injured but nothing career threatening so no bigge. Okafor averaged more Points = 17 which is Great for a Rookie, more Rebounds, and shot a better % compared to Russell. Simmons will be better than all of those guys.

No, that is another debate we can get 30 users at once to come here and watch LOL, like I seen earlier. Ben over Ingram IMO. Having said that I do like Ingram. I actually like Buddy as well.
