Yeah I read this. It's an important read for any Laker fan.
On one hand we have 2 college players who could come in and become superstars for the team lucky enough to draft them. But after those 2 you get a bunch of solid role players at best. Then we lose next year's 1st round pick.
Then on the other hand you got next year's draft that boasts a much deeper pool of players (but no superstars like Simmons & Ingram).
So even if we lose this year's pick and then get a worse draft position next year (because we can't suck much worse than this year) we'd still get a solid draft pick. Just maybe not a franchise changer like the top 2 kids in this draft.
Me personally I hope that we keep the pick & hopefully get the 1st or 2nd pick.
