The Tarheels just could never get it going for themselves all night, and by a miracle shot they had a chance to push it to OT. A few cheap foul calls by the refs in the second half helped 'Nova keep a lead down the stretch, but the theme of the night was poor interior defense by North Carolina and great shooting by Villanova from all over the floor. That jumper at the buzzer was COLD AS ICE and was clutch enough to earn the Wildcats their first title since 1985. Heartbreaking loss for Roy Williams, Jordan and the young men who had a remarkable run.
