Although Charles Woodson and Calvin Johnson are certainly Hall of Famers, neither are in the GOAT discussion. Legitimate arguments can certainly be made for Kobe and Peyton though.

Peyton and Kobe leaving in the same year is unreal to me. Both Top 5 players of all-time, well Peyton is a Top 5 QB of all-time now at worse and Kobe is a Top 5 player without much argument from me. Peyton getting that 2nd Ring was so huge, that is really the only thing his resume lacked was winning multiple Rings. He pulled a Wilt at the end of his career and won with 2 different teams. Great stuff! Woodson will go in 1st Ballot HOFamer, Megatron probably 2nd ballot. WR's have a tougher time getting in than other players for some reason. It took Marvin Harrison and Michael Irvin 2 ballot's to get in and Cris Carter over 5.

When one really thins it down now I think the only names that should be involved in the Top 5 discussion of all-time are:
QB's - Unitas, Montana, Elway, Peyton, and Brady. With Peyton getting Ring #2 that separates him from Favre and Marino. Peyton still doesn't have the Rings Bradshaw has or Aikman but smokes them statistically and MVP wise. Aikman has never even won 1 MVP. Basketball wise - Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Jordan, and Kobe. To me Shaq is the most dominant force since Wilt but not a Top 5 player of all-time. Duncan could be in the discussion but is he better than Kobe at their peaks? I say no. Russell has 11 Championships but wasn't that great of an Offensive player, and LeBron needs to win a Championship in Cleveland before he can enter such a discussion IMO. Bird isn't Top 5 either obviously.
